VersaHaul VH-027 Main Tube Class V For Single Motorcycle Carriers

Heavy-duty Class V main tube for VH-55 and VH-SPORT carriers. 600 lb capacity, 33" length. Includes integrated Class V receiver for light towing (3,000 lb max). Powder coat finish.

Product Overview

The VersaHaul VH-027 is a heavy-duty Class V main tube engineered specifically for use with VH-55 and VH-SPORT single motorcycle carriers. This robust main tube upgrades your standard carrier to work with Class V hitches, which typically offer higher tongue weight ratings (1,200 lbs) compared to Class III hitches (500 lbs). The VH-027 features a 2" x 2" opening that slides into your vehicle's Class V (2.5" x 2.5") receiver, with a 2.5" x 2.5" outer diameter providing the robust strength needed for motorcycle transport.

Measuring 33 inches in length, the VH-027 is precisely sized for optimal weight distribution and proper positioning of VH-55 and VH-SPORT carriers behind your vehicle. A unique feature of this main tube is the integrated Class V receiver at the carrier end, allowing you to tow a light trailer (up to 3,000 lbs maximum) while transporting your motorcycle. The tube is constructed from heavy-duty steel with a durable powder coat finish for corrosion resistance and long-term reliability. The VH-027 is protected by US Patents (US D554,041 S; 20070052206) and represents VersaHaul's commitment to modular, versatile carrier systems.

✓ Compatible Carriers & Hitch Requirements

Compatible VersaHaul Carriers:
VH-55: Single Motorcycle Carrier
VH-SPORT: Sport Bike Carrier

This main tube is the proper length for these specific carriers. It will NOT work with VH-55 DM (double carrier) or other VersaHaul models - those require different length tubes.

Hitch Requirements:
Class V Hitch Required: Your vehicle must have a Class V hitch installed
Receiver Size: 2.5" x 2.5" square receiver opening
Typical Class V Rating: Most Class V hitches are rated for 1,200 lbs tongue weight
Main Tube Rating: This tube is rated for 600 lbs carrying capacity

⚠ Important Towing Capability & Limitations

Integrated Tow Receiver - Light-Duty Applications Only:

The VH-027 main tube has a Class V hitch receiver built into the end of the carrier tube. This allows you to tow a small trailer while transporting your motorcycle. However, this towing capability is LIMITED TO LIGHT-DUTY APPLICATIONS ONLY.

Suitable Light-Duty Towing Applications:
• Small utility trailers (unloaded or lightly loaded)
• Lightweight boat trailers with small watercraft
• Compact cargo trailers
• Lightweight camper trailers

CRITICAL: Always verify your vehicle's towing capacity AND payload capacity. The combined weight of carrier + motorcycle + trailer + trailer cargo must not exceed your vehicle's ratings.
