The Xantrex 806-1810 PRO XM 1800 is a full-featured 1800-watt modified sine wave inverter built specifically for RV and marine electrical systems. It is designed as a complement to an existing battery charger or generator — converting your 12V battery bank to 120V AC power to run TVs, small appliances, and onboard electronics whenever shore power or generator power isn't available.
The standout feature of the PRO XM series is its built-in 20A transfer switch, which automatically detects shore or generator power and switches seamlessly — keeping your AC loads running without interruption. A detachable digital remote panel monitors battery voltage, AC source, and output power from wherever you mount it, up to 25 feet from the inverter. The PRO XM 1800 produces modified sine wave (MSW) AC output, which is suitable for the majority of common RV and marine electronics and appliances: Works well with: TVs, laptops, phone chargers, LED lighting, fans, coffee makers, small refrigerators, and most resistive or simple motor loads. May not be compatible with: Some sensitive medical equipment, certain variable-speed tools, audio equipment that produces audible hum, and devices with active power factor correction (APFC) power supplies. If powering sensitive equipment is a priority, a pure sine wave inverter (such as the Xantrex PROwatt SW series) may be more appropriate. For typical RV and boat use — running entertainment systems, charging devices, and powering small appliances — the PRO XM 1800 delivers reliable, cost-effective performance.

The PRO XM 1800 is an inverter only — it does not include a battery charger. It is designed for systems that already have a dedicated battery charger or generator. The built-in transfer switch passes shore or generator power through to your AC loads, but it does not charge your batteries.
