The AP Products Double EKD Seal Base from the advanced EK Series is intended for use on Slide Out Rooms. This can be used for new installations or when upgrading worn-out rubber seals.
  • Designed with a straight edge for easy alignment with adhesive backing.
    • Fasteners may be used to install the base, as well (not included).
  • HATS Tape (Heat Activated Tape System) mounting (see additional product info).
  • D-Seal (not included) easily slides onto track in base, hides fasteners and provides a positive seal.
  • Used on interior wall for protection.
  • May be cut to the desired length, depending on your needs.
  • Seal Base Color: Black.
  • Tape Color: Red.

How Does HATS Tape Work?

HATS tape is heat activated tape that is in a non-tacky state until heat is applied, which activates the bonding property. When heat and pressure are applied, the tape is activated, and ultimately provides an extremely high bond. You can use a hairdryer and pressure to activate the adhesive, but you must make sure you have a completely clean and dry surface for it to stick.
