Move maple sap fast from collection tanks to storage, from storage to RO systems, or from tank to tank. The Remco Zeus delivers 14 GPM – the highest flow rate of any electric diaphragm pump – so you can keep up with heavy sap runs.
At 14 GPM (840 gallons per hour), the Zeus pump outperforms typical maple transfer pumps by 2-3x. When sap is running heavy and you need to move hundreds of gallons quickly, the Zeus keeps up.
What does 14 GPM mean for your operation?
Maple season means long days and heavy sap runs. The Zeus features a heavy-duty fan-cooled motor with aluminum heatsink designed for 1+ hour continuous duty cycles.
When the sap is flowing and you need to run the pump for extended periods, you won't be waiting for the motor to cool down.
Every sugarmaker knows: fresh sap makes the best syrup. Sap that sits too long at temperatures above freezing begins to develop bacteria, darken, and produce off-flavors. The Zeus's high flow rate helps you move sap from collection to processing faster – protecting syrup quality and potentially earning you a better grade.
Transfer sap from gathering tanks (on sleds, wagons, or trucks) into your main storage tanks at the sugarhouse. The Zeus's self-priming diaphragm design handles the variable conditions of field collection.
If you're using a reverse osmosis system to concentrate your sap before boiling, the Zeus can serve as your RO feed pump – delivering consistent, high-volume flow to keep your RO running at capacity.
Consolidate partial tanks, move sap between storage locations, or transfer concentrated sap from RO output to evaporator feed tanks.
Using IBC totes for sap storage or transport? The Zeus kits include a 2" cam lock fitting that connects directly to standard tote valves for fast, easy emptying.
The Remco Zeus features wetted components made from materials commonly used in food and beverage applications:
While Remco pumps use food-compatible materials (Santoprene® and Viton® are FDA-listed for food contact), the Zeus series is marketed primarily for agricultural and industrial transfer applications. The materials are the same as those used in many maple operation pumps. As with any equipment in your sugarhouse, proper cleaning and sanitation practices are essential. Many sugarmakers successfully use diaphragm pumps with these same materials for sap transfer.
Choose 12V models when: • You're unloading sap from trucks in the field • Your collection points don't have power • You want one pump for field AND sugarhouse • You have a dedicated deep-cycle battery setup The 18-foot cable with battery clips means you can run from your truck battery, a dedicated marine/RV battery, or a small battery bank.
Choose 115V AC models when: • Your sugarhouse has electrical outlets • The pump will stay in one location • You want plug-and-play simplicity • You're already running a generator for other equipment Just plug into any standard outlet. No batteries to charge, no clips to connect – ready whenever you need it.

Flush the pump with clean water after each use to prevent sugar buildup and bacterial growth. At the end of the season, run a sanitizing solution through the system, flush with clean water, and allow to dry completely before storage.
If temperatures drop below freezing, drain the pump completely or bring it inside. Sap left in the pump can freeze, expand, and damage the diaphragm and housing. The diaphragm pump design allows for easy draining.
Always use an inlet strainer when pumping sap to prevent debris from entering the pump. A simple mesh strainer on the suction line will protect the valves and diaphragm from bark, leaves, and other material that can accumulate in sap.
The Zeus draws up to 46 amps. For extended pumping sessions, consider a dedicated deep-cycle marine or RV battery rather than relying solely on your truck battery. This protects your vehicle's starting battery during long collection runs.
The Remco Zeus is designed for sap transfer – moving sap from one container to another. It is not designed to create vacuum on your tubing lines. For vacuum systems, you'll need a dedicated vacuum pump (like Guzzler diaphragm pumps or rotary vane vacuum pumps) with a releaser system. The Zeus excels at: Moving collected sap from gathering tanks to storage, from storage to RO, or from tank to tank. For vacuum: Use a purpose-built vacuum pump system rated for your number of taps.
Remco Industries has been manufacturing professional-grade pumps for agricultural, industrial, and RV applications for decades. All Remco pumps are designed and built in the USA with a commitment to quality and durability. The Zeus series represents their highest-performance electric diaphragm pump line, combining proven diaphragm pump technology with a powerful fan-cooled motor for extended duty applications.
Warranty: All Zeus transfer pumps include a 2-year limited warranty.
Move more sap, faster. The Remco Zeus delivers 14 GPM – the highest flow of any electric diaphragm pump.
