Stop holding tank odors before they become a campsite problem. The Camco Cyclone uses wind energy -- even a light breeze -- to spin 360 degrees and generate a continuous vortex that actively pulls sewer gases up through your roof vent and away from your living space. No electricity, no chemicals, just physics.
Most stock sewer vent caps are passive -- they block rain and bugs but do nothing to move air. The Cyclone is different. Its dynamically engineered housing catches wind from any direction and converts it into a spinning vortex inside the cap, creating a low-pressure zone that draws air and odor up and out of your holding tank system continuously.
The cap rotates a full 360 degrees on its base, so it self-orients to the prevailing wind whether you are parked nose-in, backed up to a hookup, or out boondocking with no hookups at all. There is no preferred orientation -- just mount it level and let it work.
Automatically aligns to wind direction so vortex suction is maintained regardless of how your rig is parked.
Dynamically shaped housing converts even gentle breezes into sustained upward airflow through the holding tank vent stack.
Engineered resin resists sun-induced brittleness and won't rust or corrode -- built for full-time roof exposure.
At 9-1/4 in. tall and under 6-1/2 in. wide, the Cyclone clears most slide toppers and awning arms without clearance issues.
The Camco 40597 Cyclone is engineered to fit most 1-1/2 inch PVC holding tank vent pipes -- the standard diameter used on the vast majority of Class A, Class C, fifth-wheel, and travel trailer builds. If you are unsure of your pipe diameter, measure the outside diameter of the existing pipe stub coming through the roof; 1-1/2 in. Schedule 40 PVC has a nominal OD of approximately 1.9 in.
Installation is a straightforward DIY job. The cap mounts directly over the existing PVC vent pipe stub on a level roof surface. A proper seal with 100% silicone caulk prevents water intrusion at the base.
OEM vent caps on most production RVs are basic mushroom or flat covers -- they keep rain out but provide zero active ventilation. In hot weather, holding tank gases build up pressure and can backdraft into the coach through toilet seals and drain traps, causing odor inside the rig. The Cyclone eliminates this by maintaining a consistent negative pressure at the top of the vent stack.
