The Camco 48473 Eaz-Lift bumper hitch clamps directly onto a compatible 4" or 4.5" square RV bumper and instantly creates a standard 2" receiver opening for lightweight accessories like bike racks, cargo carriers, and flagpole mounts. Heavy-duty powder-coated steel construction with anti-rattle hardware keeps things secure and quiet on the road.
Most travel trailers and fifth wheels ship with a hollow square steel rear bumper -- and that bumper is one of the most underused attachment points on your rig. The Camco 48473 Eaz-Lift turns it into a functional 2" receiver without a trip to the welding shop or a single hole drilled in your bumper.
The hitch body clamps around the bumper tube using a bolt-on bracket system. Anti-rattle bolts are included to reduce the slop and vibration that are common with bolt-on receiver accessories. The receiver sleeve itself accepts any standard 2" hitch-mount accessory -- bike racks, cargo baskets, kayak carriers, and similar lightweight gear.
This is a non-towing receiver only. It is not rated for trailer towing of any kind. Always confirm your bumper's weight capacity before loading any accessory.
Bolts onto 4" or 4.5" square bumpers. No welding, no drilling, no permanent modification to your RV.
Accepts any 2" shank hitch accessory -- bike racks, cargo carriers, flagpole holders, and more.
Anti-rattle bolts are included to minimize movement and road noise from hitch-mounted accessories.
Heavy-duty steel with powder-coat finish resists rust and road grime for seasons of outdoor use.
The 48473 is designed to fit square hollow steel RV rear bumpers measuring 4" x 4" or 4.5" x 4.5" in outer dimension. This covers the majority of travel trailers and fifth wheels built in the last two decades. If your bumper is round, rectangular, or a non-standard size, this clamp will not fit properly.
Because the load limit is governed by the bumper itself rather than by this receiver, the 48473 is best suited for lighter-duty accessories. Common applications include:
The Camco 48473 itself is a heavy-duty steel receiver, but the true limiting factor is your RV bumper's rated weight capacity. Many factory RV bumpers are rated for 200 lbs or less, and some are rated even lower. Overloading your bumper can cause bending, cracking, or bumper separation from the frame -- a serious safety risk at highway speeds. Check your RV owner's manual or contact your RV manufacturer for your bumper's maximum load rating before installing any accessory.
