The Husky Towing 81144 is a purpose-built bolt-on add-on for the Husky 81146 hitch-mounted 2-bike carrier. It is not a standalone rack -- it attaches to the 81146 frame and provides two additional bike-holding arm sets, bringing total capacity to four bikes. If you have a family with multiple riders or haul bikes for guests, this is the most cost-effective way to expand without buying an entirely new rack system.
The extension fits most standard bicycle frame styles and sizes, including diamond, step-through, and many women's and kids' frames. A built-in red safety reflector improves rear visibility for following traffic. Padlock compatibility lets you secure the extension and bikes against opportunistic theft -- padlocks are sold separately.

Non-standard frames -- full-suspension downhill bikes, very wide cargo bikes, or recumbents -- may require frame adapters not included with this extension.
The Husky 81144 requires the Husky 81146 2-bike hitch carrier as the base unit. It does not include a hitch shank or receiver hardware and cannot be mounted independently to a vehicle hitch. If you do not already own the 81146, you will need to purchase it separately.
Adding a second tier of bikes shifts the center of gravity rearward and increases stress on the 81146 base unit and your vehicle's hitch receiver. Always observe the combined weight rating of the base carrier and verify your vehicle's hitch tongue weight rating before loading four bikes. Heavier e-bikes or cargo bikes may exceed system limits -- check individual bike weights before loading.
