The Camco 55338 is a generator-to-RV power adapter that bridges the connection between a generator with a 4-prong NEMA L14-30 locking outlet and a 30-amp RV shore power cord. Many portable generators — particularly those with higher wattage ratings — provide power through an L14-30 twist-lock receptacle rather than the TT-30 straight-blade receptacle used on campground pedestals. The TT-30P plug on a standard RV power cord won't connect to an L14-30 outlet; this adapter is the solution.
To use: plug the RV's 30A shore power cord into the TT-30R female end of the adapter, then insert the adapter's L14-30P 4-prong locking male into the generator's L14-30 outlet and twist to lock. The PowerGrip contoured handle with non-slip grooves makes it easy to grip, insert, twist, and unplug even when hands are wet or gloved. Rated 125V/3750W, ETL listed, and patented.
Connecting a generator to a 30-amp RV: 1. Start the generator and allow it to stabilize before connecting loads 2. Connect the RV's 30A shore power cord to the TT-30R female end of the adapter 3. Insert the L14-30P male end into the generator's L14-30 outlet and twist clockwise to lock 4. Connect the RV's cord to the RV city power inlet as normal To disconnect: Turn off the generator or cut generator power first, then twist counterclockwise to unlock the L14-30P and remove the adapter.

The 55338 fits generators with a NEMA L14-30 (4-prong 125/250V twist-lock) outlet only. • If your generator has a 3-prong twist-lock (L5-30) outlet, use the 55333 instead. • If your generator already has a standard TT-30 RV outlet, no adapter is needed — your RV cord plugs directly in. Check your generator's outlet label or owner's manual to confirm the outlet type before ordering.
