Full-season protection for Class A motorhomes 30 to 33 feet long. The Gold Shield 5L uses a five-layer top panel and a three-layer side panel construction -- both incorporating a micro-porous film barrier -- to block water, UV rays, dirt, bird droppings, tree sap, hail, and road grime while still letting trapped moisture escape. Zippered entry panels, built-in air vents, ladder cap, and gutter guards make this a fully featured storage cover for short-term and long-term use.
Not all RV covers are made equal. Many single- or double-layer covers trap condensation, promote mildew, and fade paint over a single winter. The Gold Shield 5L addresses every one of those failure modes with a laminated multi-ply construction that keeps rain and snow out at the surface while the micro-porous film layer allows water vapor to vent outward -- the same principle used in quality rain gear.
The five-layer top panel handles the heaviest weather exposure -- direct sun, rain, snow load, and hail. The three-layer side panels are lighter for packability but still incorporate the micro-porous film so moisture cannot become trapped between the cover and your coach's sidewalls. Double-line stitching at all seams and junctions prevents unraveling even with repeated installation and removal cycles.
Four polypropylene PLUS layers plus one micro-porous film layer. Blocks over 98% of dirt and dust and sheds rain and snow while venting internal moisture.
Two polypropylene PLUS layers plus micro-porous film. Prevents rot and mildew on sidewalls without sacrificing breathability.
Heavy-duty zippered access panels let you enter the motorhome, check systems, or grab gear without removing the entire cover.
Reflective panels around the perimeter improve nighttime visibility when the rig is parked in a driveway, storage lot, or campsite.
A poor fit causes more cover damage than almost anything else -- wind gets under a loose cover and turns it into a sandblasting machine against your paint. The Gold Shield 5L uses four securing methods working together:
The top-panel fabric extends downward past the roofline onto the upper sides, creating overlap coverage so rain cannot track along the roof edge and under the side panels.
Class A coaches commonly carry one, two, or three rooftop air conditioner units. This cover is designed to accommodate up to three AC units without forcing the fabric tight across shrouds in a way that causes abrasion or tearing. Built-in vents positioned around the roof section also promote airflow underneath so heat does not build up during warm-weather storage -- reducing stress on roof seals and AC unit housings.
No tools are required to install this cover. Typical process for a two-person crew on a 30-33 ft Class A:
The ladder cap protects the cover fabric where it contacts the rear ladder rungs, preventing the sharp edges from cutting through during installation or in wind. Gutter guards built into the cover's upper edge prevent rain gutters from abrading or tearing the side panels during removal.
You can wash the cover by hand or in a washing machine. For hand washing, install the cover on your RV, rinse it with a hose, then use a cloth and multi-purpose cleaner to scrub. Rinse again and either towel dry or let it air dry.
For machine washing, use the largest machine available, set it to gentle mode, and wash with mild powder detergent in cold water—avoid bleach and fabric softeners. Rinse the cover twice to remove all detergent, and always air dry.
