Fasco230V / 3060 RPMUL & CSA ListedFasco A169 Furnace Draft Inducer Blower Motor -- NBK 12175

A direct-replacement draft inducer motor engineered to match original equipment specs for Fasco and ICP furnace applications. Rated 230V, 1/25 HP, and 3060 RPM, this shaded-pole motor ships with 13-inch leads and spade terminals -- ready to install without modification on a wide range of gas furnaces.

Reliable Draft Inducer Replacement for ICP and Fasco Furnaces

The draft inducer motor is one of the hardest-working components in a forced-air furnace. It pulls combustion gases through the heat exchanger and exhausts them safely before the main burner fires. When the original motor fails -- or begins running slowly, noisily, or intermittently -- a precise replacement is critical for both furnace operation and safe flue gas evacuation.

The Fasco A169 (also sold as NBK Parts 12175) is a factory-spec shaded-pole motor built to match the original performance envelope of the units it replaces. At 230 volts and 3060 RPM, it restores proper draft pressure and ignition sequencing without requiring wiring changes or adapter brackets.

Exact-Match Voltage

Rated 230V, 60 Hz, single-phase -- matching original ICP and Fasco inducer motor specifications with no rewiring required.

Built-In Thermal Protection

Integrated thermal overload protector shuts the motor down if it overheats, protecting the furnace control board and heat exchanger.

Ready-to-Connect Leads

13-inch wire leads with spade terminals make connection straightforward during a direct swap -- no splicing or terminal crimping needed in most installations.

UL and CSA Listed

Dual safety certifications confirm the motor meets North American electrical safety standards for HVAC and furnace applications.

What This Motor Replaces

This motor is a confirmed direct replacement for the following OEM and aftermarket part numbers. Verify your existing motor's part number before ordering.

  • Fasco 7021-10048
  • Fasco 7021-10580
  • Emerson 3114
  • ICP 1010008
  • ICP 1085571
  • ICP 1085571P
  • ICP 1110008
  • ICP 7021-10048
  • ICP 7021-10580
  • W.W. Grainger 1110008
  • NBK Parts 12175
Correct Fitment Tip: Cross-reference by your existing motor's part number, not just the furnace model number. Multiple furnace models may use identical motors, and the motor part number is the most reliable match point.

Motor Construction and Design

The A169 uses a shaded-pole induction design -- the standard choice for HVAC draft inducer applications because it requires no brushes, capacitors, or start relays. The sleeve bearing construction is appropriate for the duty cycle and mounting orientation typical of residential gas furnace inducers.

Class B insulation provides a thermal rating of 130 deg C winding temperature, giving adequate headroom above the 40 deg C (104 deg F) maximum ambient rating. The compact 3.3-inch frame diameter fits the original inducer housing without modification.

Installation Note: This motor is sold as a bare motor assembly. The inducer housing, wheel (squirrel cage), and mounting gasket from the original assembly are typically reused. Inspect the wheel and housing for cracks or buildup before reinstalling.
Voltage Check: This is a 230V motor. Confirm your furnace's inducer circuit operates at 230V before installing. ICP and Fasco also produced 115V inducer motors that are visually similar -- installing the wrong voltage will damage the motor or the furnace control board.
Maintenance Tip: Sleeve-bearing motors benefit from being stored and installed in their correct operating orientation. Do not force the shaft or over-tighten mounting screws, which can distort the bearing sleeve and shorten motor life.

Important Information
  • This is a 230V motor only -- do not install in a 115V inducer circuit. Verify supply voltage before ordering.
  • Motor is sold as a bare motor. The inducer blower wheel, housing, and gasket are NOT included. Reuse originals or source separately.
  • Cross-reference the existing motor's part number against the replacement list above before installation. Furnace model numbers alone may not confirm fitment.
  • Built-in thermal protection may reset automatically after cooling -- if the motor trips repeatedly, diagnose the root cause (blocked flue, failed capacitor on other components, high ambient heat) before assuming the motor is defective.
  • Maximum ambient operating temperature is 104 deg F (40 deg C). Do not install in utility rooms or enclosures that exceed this limit without additional ventilation.
