A single missing pin can put your entire Equal-i-zer hitch setup out of service. This OEM-spec socket pin and clip from Fastway restores the critical connection between the spring arm and the hitch head -- keeping your trailer securely coupled and your weight distribution working as designed. At 3/8" diameter and 2-1/2" in length, it matches the original fastener exactly. Keep a spare or two in your tow vehicle's toolbox and you'll never be stranded over a lost clip.
The Equal-i-zer 4-point sway control hitch is engineered to distribute tongue weight and control trailer sway simultaneously. The socket pin is the mechanical link that locks each spring arm into the hitch head socket. Without it, the spring arm cannot be retained, the hitch cannot function, and towing is unsafe.
Fastway part number 95-01-9400 is the correct OEM replacement for this pin. It includes both the pin body and the retaining clip, so you have everything needed to restore full function in minutes -- no machining, no improvising with hardware-store substitutes.
Dimensioned to factory spec -- 3/8" diameter, 2-1/2" length -- for a drop-in replacement with no modification.
Includes both the socket pin and the retaining clip so you have everything needed to reinstall the spring arm.
Manufactured domestically to Fastway quality standards for the Equal-i-zer hitch product line.
Clips and pins are easy to lose during setup. Keeping extras on hand prevents delays at the campsite or staging area.
The Equal-i-zer hitch uses a spring arm assembly on each side of the hitch head. Each arm is inserted into a socket on the hitch head and held in place by this pin and clip. When the clip is in place, the spring arm is mechanically captured and cannot back out under load. The four-point design means the hitch manages both weight distribution and sway without separate sway bars -- but that system only works when the spring arms are properly pinned.
