Stop guessing at electrolyte levels and eliminate the mess of watering cells one by one. The Flow-Rite Pro-Fill system replaces your existing vent caps with automatic shut-off valves, links all cells with pre-cut tubing, and lets you fill every cell to the correct level in one quick connection -- no overfilling, no acid spills, no removing caps each time.
Lead-acid batteries in RVs, golf carts, and floor machines need regular watering to stay healthy. Under-watering kills plates; overfilling pushes corrosive acid onto terminals and trays. The Flow-Rite Pro-Fill system solves both problems by using automatic float-style shut-off valves that stop flow the instant each cell reaches the correct electrolyte level.
This kit -- part number BG-U24V-1G-WS -- is configured for a 24V bank built from four 6V batteries with a cell-to-cell spacing of 2.7 inches. The included hand pump lets you fill from a standard distilled water jug without a pressurized water source, making it ideal for dry camping, storage facilities, or any location without a hose bibb nearby.
Float-style valves stop water flow precisely at the correct electrolyte level in every cell -- no overfilling possible.
Connect once at the single fill port and all four batteries water simultaneously through the interconnect tubing.
The included hand pump works with standard water jugs -- no pressurized water line or faucet required.
Shut-off valves thread directly into existing battery cell openings, replacing factory vent caps with no drilling required.
Each shut-off valve contains a small float mechanism calibrated to the correct electrolyte level for a standard flooded lead-acid cell. When water reaches that level the valve closes, even if you keep pumping -- protecting the cell from overfill without requiring you to watch each opening. The valves also act as replacement vent caps, releasing gas safely during charging.
This system is designed for flooded (wet-cell) lead-acid batteries only. It is not compatible with AGM, gel, or lithium batteries, which are sealed and do not require watering. Confirm your batteries are conventional flooded cells before ordering.
The 2.7in cell spacing refers to the center-to-center distance between adjacent cell vent openings on the battery. This dimension determines the length of the interconnect tubing supplied in the kit. A kit with the wrong spacing will have tubes that are too short or too long to route cleanly. Measure your batteries before ordering if you are unsure.
Four 6V batteries wired in series to form a 24V bank are common in larger diesel pushers, fifth wheels with dual inverters, and some commercial and marine applications. The Pro-Fill system is equally useful in:
Flow-Rite offers Pro-Fill kits for many other battery configurations -- different cell counts, voltage banks (12V, 36V, 48V), and cell spacings (2.25in, 3.0in). If your bank does not match four 6V batteries at 2.7in spacing, check the rest of the Flow-Rite lineup to find the correct kit for your application.
