Stop guessing, stop overfilling, and stop checking cells one by one. The Pro-Fill BG-U72V-8J lets you water an entire 72-volt deep-cycle battery bank through a single fill point in one step -- automatic shut-off valves halt flow the instant every cell reaches the correct level.
Maintaining deep-cycle batteries is one of the most time-consuming service tasks on any RV, golf cart, floor scrubber, or electric vehicle. The Flow-Rite Pro-Fill system replaces your existing vent caps with precision automatic shut-off valves, then interconnects every cell in the bank with flexible manifold tubing. Connect a water source to the single inlet, squeeze the bulb or open the valve, and the system fills every cell to the correct electrolyte level simultaneously -- then shuts off automatically. No overfilling. No acid spills. No checking cells individually.
The BG-U72V-8J is the 72-volt universal configuration, sized and tubed for 12 series-connected 6V batteries or 6 series-connected 12V batteries -- the most common bank arrangement in 72V RV, golf cart, and industrial applications. The "universal" designation means the kit ships with enough 127 flex manifold tubing to adapt to a wide range of battery tray layouts without requiring a custom-measured order.
Float-actuated valves stop water flow precisely at the correct electrolyte level in every cell -- no guesswork, no overfill damage.
Pre-cut flexible tubing with enough length to route across a wide variety of battery tray configurations without special measuring.
Water the entire 72V bank through one connection. Pairs with Flow-Rite hand pumps, gravity feed, or pressurized water systems.
Shut-off valves thread directly into standard battery vent cap openings -- no drilling, no battery modification required.
Each cell in your battery bank gets one Flow-Rite automatic shut-off valve in place of its original vent cap. The valves are interconnected by the included flex manifold tubing, which runs cell-to-cell and battery-to-battery across the tray. A single inlet fitting at one end of the manifold accepts the fill line from your water source.
When you connect and begin filling, deionized or distilled water flows through the manifold simultaneously to every valve. Each valve contains a small float that rises with the electrolyte level. The moment any cell reaches the correct fill height, its valve closes. Once all cells have closed, flow stops naturally -- even if your water source stays pressurized. The result is a consistent, correct fill every time in under two minutes for a full bank.
The BG-U72V-8J is designed for 72-volt systems assembled from standard flooded lead-acid deep-cycle batteries:
Flow-Rite offers both universal kits and model-specific kits sized to exact battery tray dimensions for popular golf cart brands. The BG-U72V-8J "universal" kit includes extra tubing length (127 flex manifold) to accommodate varied tray widths and heights. If you are installing on a standard EZ-GO, Club Car, or Yamaha 72V platform, verify tray layout before trimming tubing -- the extra length gives you flexibility but trim carefully, as tubing cannot be spliced back.
Tap water contains minerals and chlorine that contaminate battery electrolyte and accelerate plate degradation. Always fill Pro-Fill systems with deionized (DI) or distilled water. Flow-Rite and compatible hand pumps are sold separately -- the BG-U72V-8J kit does not include a pump or water supply hose.
The BG-U72V-8J manifold kit requires a separate water delivery source. Flow-Rite offers compatible hand pumps and quick-connect fill guns designed to work with the Pro-Fill inlet fitting. A gravity-feed jug or low-pressure water line also works well -- the automatic shut-off valves handle all flow control, so pressure regulation at the source is not critical.
