Deep-cycle 8V batteries -- common in golf carts, floor scrubbers, and some RV house banks -- need regular watering to hold capacity and extend service life. Under-watering exposes plates and causes sulfation; over-watering flushes electrolyte out of the case during charging. The Flow-Rite Pro-Fill system eliminates both problems.
Each automatic shut-off valve replaces a standard vent cap. A built-in float mechanism closes the valve the instant electrolyte reaches the correct level. Water flows through pre-cut interconnect tubing from cell to cell and battery to battery -- you apply water at one point, every cell fills, the system stops. Disconnect the hose, replace the fill cap, done.
One connection waters all 3 batteries and all 6 cells simultaneously -- no removing individual caps per cell.

Deep-cycle flooded lead-acid batteries lose water through electrolysis during every charge cycle. Plates exposed above the electrolyte line sulfate and lose capacity permanently. A properly maintained 8V battery bank can last 4-6 years or more -- neglected cells may fail in under 2. A watering system that takes 2 minutes instead of 20 is the single easiest way to protect that investment.
This kit is configured for batteries with 2.5-inch center-to-center spacing between cell vent caps. Most standard US-made 8V deep-cycle batteries (including common Trojan T-875, US Battery US-8VGC, and similar) use this spacing, but verify before ordering. Measure cap center to cap center on one battery. If your spacing differs, Flow-Rite offers other configurations.
This system is designed for flooded (wet-cell) lead-acid deep-cycle batteries only. It is not compatible with AGM, gel, or lithium batteries, which are sealed and do not require water addition. Typical applications include:
