Flow-Rite BA-MS-320-05 Regulated Hose Supply

Flow-Rite Regulated Battery Watering Hose -- 5 Ft

A gravity-and-pressure-fed hose supply solution that waters your battery bank accurately and quickly -- no pump required. Ideal for RV owners, fleet operators, and anyone maintaining flooded lead-acid batteries who wants a reliable, no-fuss fill without the cost of a full pump system.

Accurate Battery Watering Without the Pump

The Flow-Rite BA-MS-320-05 is a regulated hose supply system designed to fill flooded lead-acid batteries to the correct electrolyte level every time. By incorporating a built-in pressure regulator directly into the supply line, it eliminates guesswork and prevents the overfilling that damages battery plates and shortens service life.

This 5-foot hose model offers a practical middle ground: faster and more consistent than manually pouring distilled water cell by cell, but without the investment of a fully automated pump-driven watering system. Connect it to a standard water source, attach the Fill-It valves on your battery cells, and let the regulated flow do the work.

Built-In Regulator

Inline pressure regulation ensures each cell receives the correct water level -- no overfilling, no wasted water.

No Pump Needed

Works from a standard water supply connection -- lower cost than pump-operated systems while still delivering fast fill times.

5-Foot Hose Length

Provides enough reach to service batteries in typical RV battery compartments and marine battery banks without stretching.

Compatible with Flow-Rite Valves

Designed to work with Flow-Rite single-point battery watering valves for a complete, closed watering system.

How It Works

Flow-Rite single-point battery watering systems replace the individual vent caps on each cell of a flooded lead-acid battery with automatic fill valves. When you connect the regulated hose supply, water flows through the manifold to each cell. Each valve automatically shuts off when the electrolyte reaches the correct level -- no checking, no measuring, no mess.

The BA-MS-320-05 adds a pressure regulator to the supply hose itself, which is especially important when connecting to a municipal water supply or any source that may deliver pressure above what the valve manifold is rated for. This protects the valves and ensures even fill across all cells in the bank.

Designed for Flooded Lead-Acid Batteries

This system is intended for use with standard flooded (wet cell) lead-acid batteries -- the type commonly found powering RV house banks, golf carts, floor scrubbers, and industrial equipment. It is not intended for AGM, gel, or lithium batteries, which do not require water addition.

Typical Applications

  • RV house battery banks (6V and 12V flooded lead-acid cells)
  • Marine battery compartments
  • Golf cart battery packs
  • Industrial floor scrubbers and forklifts
  • Off-grid solar battery banks using flooded cells
  • Fleet vehicles with wet-cell battery maintenance programs

Where This Fits in the Flow-Rite Lineup

Flow-Rite offers a full range of single-point battery watering solutions. The regulated hose supply (BA-MS series) is the entry-level supply option -- a manual-connect hose that delivers regulated water flow. For larger battery banks or more frequent watering cycles, Flow-Rite also offers pump-operated systems (Pro-Fill series) that automate the fill process further. The BA-MS-320-05 is the 5-foot version; other hose lengths are available for different compartment configurations.

Installation and Use

The regulated hose supply connects to the Fill-It valve manifold already installed on your battery bank. One end attaches to a standard water source; the other connects to the battery watering manifold quick-connect fitting. Open the water supply, allow the system to fill (the valves signal shut-off when complete), then disconnect. No electricity required.

Maintenance Tips

  • Always use distilled or deionized water -- tap water introduces minerals that contaminate electrolyte and shorten battery life.
  • Water batteries after a full charge cycle, not before, to avoid overflow as charging expands electrolyte volume.
  • Flush the hose with clean water after each use and store away from direct sunlight to protect the tubing.
  • Inspect the regulator and hose fittings periodically for cracks, mineral buildup, or signs of wear.
  • Check battery plates are covered before first fill if batteries have been sitting -- never allow plates to dry out.

Complete the System

The BA-MS-320-05 hose supply requires Flow-Rite Fill-It battery watering valves and a manifold assembly already installed on your batteries. If your batteries do not yet have Flow-Rite valves, you will need a complete battery watering kit sized for your specific battery model and bank configuration. Flow-Rite offers kits for 6V, 8V, and 12V flooded lead-acid batteries in golf cart, RV, and industrial profiles.

Important Information

  • Flooded lead-acid batteries only. Do not use this watering system with AGM, gel, or lithium batteries. Those chemistries are sealed and do not accept water addition.
  • Flow-Rite valve manifold required. This hose supply does not work as a standalone product. Your batteries must already have Flow-Rite Fill-It single-point watering valves installed. The hose supply connects to the manifold quick-connect fitting.
  • Use distilled water only. Tap water contains minerals and chlorine that degrade battery electrolyte and reduce battery lifespan.
  • Water after a full charge. Adding water before charging can cause electrolyte to overflow as it expands during the charge cycle. Always charge first, then water.
  • Monitor supply pressure. The built-in regulator is designed to protect the valve system, but connecting to unusually high-pressure water sources is not recommended. Verify your supply pressure is within normal residential or RV supply ranges.
  • Not a complete kit. This listing is for the regulated hose supply only. Battery watering valve kits for your specific battery model must be purchased separately.
