A direct OEM-style replacement LP supply hose for RV propane distribution systems. Forty-eight inches of 1/4" ID rubber hose with 3/8" female SAE flare swivel ends on both sides makes this a drop-in solution for stoves, furnaces, water heaters, and other appliances fed from a coach propane manifold or regulator.
Propane supply hoses crack, stiffen, and develop leaks over time -- especially in rigs that see temperature extremes or sit stored for long stretches. When you notice a sulfur smell, a visible crack, or a failed leak-down test, the hose itself is often the culprit. JR Products part 06-0149 gives you a UL- and CSA-listed replacement that meets the same standards as the hose your rig left the factory with.
Both ends use a 3/8" female SAE flare swivel fitting, which is the standard connection found on most RV LP appliance inlets and manifold ports. The swivel design lets you tighten the fitting without twisting the hose body, preventing kinks during installation.
Matches factory hose routing and length for a clean, no-modification replacement in most coach propane layouts.
3/8" female SAE flare swivel fittings on both ends allow easy tightening without twisting or kinking the hose.
Meets Underwriters Laboratories and Canadian Standards Association requirements for LP fuel hose in recreational vehicle applications.
1/4" ID rubber hose resists cracking across a wide temperature range and routes easily through tight cabinet and chassis spaces.
This hose is used wherever an RV LP appliance connects to the coach propane supply -- behind a range, inside a furnace compartment, under a water heater, or at a generator LP inlet. If your rig uses 1/4" ID rubber supply lines with 3/8" SAE flare connections (the most common OEM configuration in travel trailers and fifth wheels), this is a direct replacement.
It is also a useful hose to keep on hand during an appliance swap. When you replace an older stove or furnace, the existing hose may be stiff, discolored, or undersized -- swapping it out at the same time is good practice and takes only a few minutes with a flare wrench.
Unlike fixed-end fittings, swivel SAE flare ends let you hand-thread the connection into place and then torque with a wrench -- no need to rotate the hose body. This is especially helpful in tight appliance bays where there is little room to maneuver.
JR Products backs this hose with a limited 90-day warranty from the date of purchase. Warranty covers manufacturing defects; damage from improper installation or over-pressurization is not covered.
SAE flare fittings (also called flared fittings) create a seal on a 45-degree angled seat, not on threads. They are standard on LP appliance connections in RVs. NPT (National Pipe Thread) fittings seal on tapered threads and require thread sealant. Do not mix the two. This hose uses SAE flare on both ends -- no adapters are needed for standard OEM LP appliance ports.
Inspect all LP supply hoses annually for cracking, brittleness, discoloration, or abrasion damage. Any hose showing surface cracking or that fails a soap-bubble leak test should be replaced immediately. Do not reuse a hose that has been kinked sharply or crushed.
