JR ProductsQCC1 Propane HoseUL/CSA ApprovedJR Products 06-0135 -- 20" QCC1 Propane Pigtail Hose with 1/4" Male Inverted Flare

A clean, code-compliant connection between your RV propane tank and regulator or appliance inlet. The JR Products 06-0135 is a 20-inch OEM-style pigtail hose fitted with an industry-standard QCC1 (Type 1) tank connector on one end and a 1/4" male inverted flare on the other -- the two most common connection points in recreational vehicle LP systems. UL and CSA listed for confidence in safety-critical propane plumbing.

Reliable LP Pigtail for RV Propane Systems

The 06-0135 is the pigtail hose you reach for when replacing a cracked, kinked, or sun-degraded LP connection on an RV, camper trailer, or fifth wheel. At 20 inches, it provides enough slack to connect a horizontal or vertical tank valve to a two-stage or single-stage regulator without stressing the fittings -- an important detail that extends the life of both the hose and the regulator body.

JR Products is one of the most widely distributed OEM and replacement hardware suppliers in the RV industry. The 06-0135 is engineered to match original-equipment specifications, which means it drops in without adapters in the vast majority of Class A, Class C, and towable applications that use a standard QCC1 tank valve.

QCC1 Tank Fitting

Type 1 (QCC1) connector threads onto standard 1-5/16"-18 UNEF propane tank valves found on virtually all RV and BBQ-style LP cylinders sold in North America.

1/4" Male Inverted Flare Outlet

The appliance end uses a 1/4" male inverted flare (MIF) fitting -- the standard for connecting to regulators, manifolds, and many direct-connect LP appliance inlets.

UL and CSA Listed

Independently tested and listed by Underwriters Laboratories and the Canadian Standards Association. Meets safety requirements for propane service in recreational vehicles.

OEM-Replacement Ready

Engineered to OEM dimensions and specifications, so this hose replaces worn pigtails on most RV dual-tank setups without modification or additional adapters.

Construction and Materials

The hose body is a 1/4" ID rubber LP hose rated for liquid petroleum gas service. The rubber compound is formulated to resist degradation from LP gas permeation and UV exposure -- two of the primary failure modes in propane hoses stored outdoors or under RV compartment covers. Both end fittings are brass, which resists corrosion in the damp environments common inside LP compartments.

Direct OEM Fit: The 06-0135 is sized and terminated to replace original pigtail hoses on most RV dual-cylinder propane setups without cutting, flaring, or additional adapters. Install with an adjustable wrench -- no special tools required.

Typical Application in RV Propane Systems

In a standard RV two-tank setup, each LP cylinder feeds into a pigtail hose that connects to an automatic or manual changeover regulator. The pigtail absorbs vibration during travel and allows the tank to be swapped without disconnecting the regulator. The 20" length suits most under-tongue or exterior compartment installations where the tank valve and regulator inlet are separated by 12 to 18 inches.

  • Replacement pigtail on dual-cylinder RV automatic changeover regulators
  • Single-cylinder setups where extra hose length is needed to reach a remotely mounted regulator
  • Repair of cracked, brittle, or kinked OEM pigtail hoses
  • Shop stock for RV service centers performing seasonal propane system inspections
Inspection Tip: LP hoses should be inspected at least once per season for cracking, abrasion, or flattening near the fittings. A hose that shows any surface cracking or has been in service more than 10 years should be replaced regardless of visible condition.
Installation Notes: Hand-tighten the QCC1 fitting onto the tank valve, then snug with a wrench -- do not over-torque. Apply an approved leak-detection solution to all connections after installation and before lighting any appliance. The 1/4" inverted flare end requires a 7/16" flare nut wrench for a proper seal.

Important Information
  • This hose is rated for propane (LP) gas service only. Do not use with natural gas, compressed air, or other gases.
  • Inspect all connections for leaks with an approved leak-detection solution every time a fitting is disconnected and reconnected. Never use an open flame to check for leaks.
  • Do not use this hose if it is kinked, abraded, shows surface cracking, or has been exposed to direct flame or extreme heat.
  • QCC1 fittings have a left-hand thread on the tank valve nut. Turn counter-clockwise (when viewed from the hose end) to tighten onto the tank valve.
  • The 90-day warranty covers manufacturing defects. Damage from improper installation, over-torquing, or use outside of LP gas service is not covered.
  • Always comply with NFPA 58 (Liquefied Petroleum Gas Code) and applicable local codes when servicing RV propane systems.
