A ready-to-install wheel-end solution for 7,000-lb trailer and RV axles. Bearings are pre-packed with grease and installed at the factory, so you mount it and move on. Fits the 8 on 6.5-inch bolt pattern with 9/16-inch studs common on heavier single- and tandem-axle trailers, fifth wheels, and travel trailers. Sold as one complete hub assembly.
Wheel bearing failures and worn brake drums are among the most common roadside emergencies for RV and trailer owners. The Lippert 2024013261 eliminates the guesswork by delivering a fully assembled 12-inch hub -- bearings pre-greased and pressed in, studs installed, and drum ready to accept your existing electric brake magnet assembly. Whether you are doing routine preventive maintenance on a high-mileage rig or replacing a failed hub after a bearing seize, this kit gets you back on the road without having to source individual components separately.
Also cross-referenced as Lippert part number K-141290 and vendor part 08-7938. Confirm your axle's bolt pattern, stud size, and capacity rating before ordering.
Bearings are factory-packed and installed -- no separate greasing step required at installation.
Sized for 7,000-lb axle brake assemblies with standard 12 x 2-inch drum width common to this capacity class.
Eight-lug, 6.5-inch bolt circle -- the standard pattern on many heavy-duty RV and trailer axles in this weight class.
Studs pre-installed at the correct diameter and thread pitch for this axle class. No separate stud installation needed.
Not included: brake shoes, brake magnet/actuator assembly, spindle nut and cotter pin, lug nuts, or any axle-side hardware. This is one hub unit -- order two kits for a full axle replacement.
Before ordering, verify all three of the following on your axle tag or existing hub:
This hub is designed for Lippert-branded and Lippert-supplied axles commonly found under Forest River, Keystone, Heartland, Grand Design, and many other OEM trailers and fifth wheels in the 14,000-lb GVWR range and above (tandem 7K setups). Confirm your axle brand and spindle dimensions if your rig is not Lippert-axled.
The inner and outer bearing sizes in this kit are matched to the Lippert 7,000-lb axle spindle diameter. If you are replacing a hub on a non-Lippert axle (Dexter, Kodiak, etc.) that happens to share the same bolt pattern, verify spindle journal diameters before installation. A mismatch in spindle diameter will result in improper bearing fit and a dangerous wheel-end failure.
This hub drum is designed to work with standard 12 x 2-inch electric brake assemblies commonly paired with 7,000-lb axles. Your existing brake shoes and magnet can typically be reused if they are within service limits. Inspect shoes for wear and the magnet for scoring before reassembly. Replacement brake shoe sets for this drum size are widely available from Lippert, Dexter, and aftermarket suppliers.
