Restore your RV's outdoor living space with this heavy-duty 13.5-oz vinyl replacement awning fabric from Lippert. Designed to fit 14-foot Solera, Dometic, and Carefree awning assemblies, it delivers the durability, weather resistance, and clean appearance you expect from the factory -- at a fraction of the cost of full awning replacement. The Green Fade colorway adds a classic, relaxed look to any campsite setup.
This replacement fabric is constructed from 13.5-oz vinyl -- a commercial-grade weight that balances durability with manageable heft. Heat-welded seams reinforce the fabric at the highest-stress points along the roller edge and valance hem, eliminating the stitched seams that can wick water or fray over time. The exterior face carries the Green Fade pattern; the underside is white, which reflects heat and brightens your shade area on sunny days.
Cold-crack testing to -25 deg F means this fabric won't stiffen, crack, or delaminate in winter storage or early-season deployments in cold climates -- a real concern with cheaper replacement fabrics that use lower-grade vinyl compounds.
Commercial-weight vinyl resists UV degradation, mildew, and tearing better than lighter 9-oz or 11-oz fabrics commonly found on budget replacements.
Seams are thermally fused, not stitched, creating leak-resistant bonds at the roller hem and valance that hold up under wind load and heavy rain.
Vinyl compound is rated to remain flexible at -25 deg F, making it suitable for four-season RVers and those who store rigs in cold climates without fully retracting.
Includes a sewn-in poly cord channel along the inside hem -- ready to accept an optional LED light track strip. Light track and LED lights are sold separately.
This fabric is sized for a 14-foot awning assembly. The cut fabric width is 13ft 1in (approximately 157 inches) -- roughly 11 inches shorter than the nominal awning width. This is normal and by design: the fabric wraps around the roller tube and slides into the arm channels, and the assembled projection is what fills the space, not the raw fabric edge-to-edge. Do not order a fabric that matches your awning assembly length exactly; order by assembly size.
Projection depth is 8 feet, which is standard for most 14-foot slide-topper and patio awning arms in the Solera, Dometic, and Carefree product families.
Replacing awning fabric on a Solera, Dometic, or Carefree awning is a DIY-friendly job for most RV owners with basic hand tools. The general process involves removing the roller assembly from the awning arms, sliding the old fabric's hem cord out of the roller groove, sliding the new fabric hem cord in, re-rolling under tension, and reinstalling the roller. Two people make the job significantly easier -- one to hold the roller, one to guide the fabric.
