A code-compliant, dual-tank-ready propane connection hose purpose-built for RV service. The built-in back check valve stops backflow at the tank fitting, keeping your system safe when you switch tanks or disconnect under pressure. At 36 inches (3 ft), this hose gives you enough reach to connect a standard 20 or 30 lb cylinder to your RV's two-stage or single-stage regulator without kinking or stressing the line.
The MB Sturgis 100575-36-MBS is a propane pigtail hose designed specifically for RV applications where dependability and safety matter. The Type 1 (ACME) fitting on the tank end threads onto standard QCC1/Type 1 propane cylinders -- the same fitting found on most 20 lb and 30 lb tanks used by RVers. The regulator end terminates in a 1/4" male inverted flare (MIF) connection, which mates directly to the inlet port of most RV two-stage or single-stage regulators.
What sets this hose apart from a basic pigtail is the built-in back check valve at the ACME connector. When you run dual tanks through an automatic or manual changeover valve, the back check prevents reverse flow from the active tank side into the tank being swapped out. This is a critical safety feature for any dual-supply propane system -- and it is what makes this hose specifically suited for that role rather than a standard single-tank hookup hose.
Threads onto QCC1/Type 1 cylinders (most 20 lb and 30 lb tanks). Hand-tightens with no tools needed at the tank.
Integrated into the ACME connector. Prevents backflow when disconnecting or switching tanks in a dual-supply setup.
Standard regulator-side fitting compatible with most RV two-stage and single-stage regulator inlets. Wrench-tightened with no sealant tape required.
Handles the full load of typical RV propane systems -- furnace, range, water heater, and refrigerator running simultaneously.
This pigtail is specifically designed for use with dual-tank automatic or manual changeover regulators. The back check valve at the tank fitting allows one hose to remain pressurized while the other tank is disconnected and swapped -- a key safety requirement in dual-supply propane systems used on most towable and motorized RVs with two-cylinder setups.
Tank end (Type 1 / QCC1 ACME): Left-hand thread, hand-tight connection. Fits all standard 20 lb, 30 lb, and most larger DOT cylinders sold in North America with a Type 1 valve outlet.
Regulator end (1/4" Male Inverted Flare): Right-hand thread. Connects to the female inverted flare inlet port found on the majority of RV propane regulators. Use a proper flare fitting wrench -- do not use PTFE tape on inverted flare connections; the metal-to-metal flare seat is the seal.
