Part of MORryde's X-Brace Stabilizer family. Slides onto any exposed standard I-beam frame — no drilling required. Two adjustable legs and a ratchet strap eliminate side-to-side sway. Includes carry bag.
The MORryde SP54-253 I-Beam Mount Stabilizer is the no-drill solution to unwanted RV movement while parked. Part of MORryde's X-Brace Stabilizer family, it is designed specifically for motorhomes and towable RVs equipped with a standard exposed I-beam frame. The stabilizer slides directly onto the I-beam — no permanent mounting, no drilling, no modifications to your RV's frame — and uses two adjustable stabilizer legs and a ratchet strap to lock the unit firmly in place and dramatically reduce side-to-side sway.
The ratchet strap creates tension across the I-beam connection to enhance lateral stability, while the two adjustable legs span down to the ground to resist movement in all directions. The wide range of leg height adjustability accommodates different frame heights and ground clearances, making the SP54-253 a genuinely universal solution for any RV with an exposed standard I-beam. When camp is done, the entire system packs into the included carry bag for tidy storage.
Slides onto any exposed standard I-beam frame without any permanent modifications, drilling, or frame alterations
Two stabilizer legs provide a wide range of height adjustability to accommodate varying frame heights and ground clearances
Built-in ratchet strap applies clamping tension across the I-beam to enhance side-to-side stability and reduce sway
The complete kit packs neatly into an included carry bag for clean, convenient storage between campsites
The SP54-253 requires an exposed, accessible standard I-beam on your RV's frame for installation. Before purchasing, confirm: 1. I-beam is exposed: The flange of the I-beam must be accessible to slide the stabilizer clamp onto — enclosed or boxed frame sections will not work. 2. Standard I-beam profile: The clamp is designed for a standard I-beam shape. Tube steel, channel steel, or non-standard cross-sections are not compatible. 3. Adequate ground clearance: The adjustable legs must be able to reach from the I-beam down to the ground to function. Verify your frame height falls within the leg adjustment range. Use MORryde's I-Beam Mount Stabilizer Qualification Guide to confirm compatibility before purchase.
The SP54-253 is one of four stabilizers in MORryde's X-Brace family, each designed for a different RV configuration. Select the correct model based on your RV type and mounting point: • SP54-253 (This Product) — I-Beam Mount: Slides onto any standard exposed I-beam; motorhomes and towables • SP54-181 — Scissor Jack Stabilizer: Attaches to existing scissor jacks on towable RVs • SP54-182 — Hitch Mount Stabilizer: Mounts to the tow vehicle's receiver hitch • SP54-180 — 5th Wheel Stabilizer: Designed specifically for fifth wheel trailer configurations If you are unsure which model suits your setup, consult MORryde's X-Brace Stabilizer selection guide or contact MORryde directly at (574) 293-1581.
Setup Steps at Each Campsite: 1. Level Your RV First: Level and position your RV before deploying stabilizers — stabilizers are not leveling devices 2. Locate the I-Beam: Identify an accessible exposed standard I-beam section on your RV's frame at the desired stabilization point 3. Slide Stabilizer Onto I-Beam: Position the SP54-253 clamp over the I-beam flange and slide it into place at the desired location 4. Attach Ratchet Strap: Secure the ratchet strap around the I-beam and tighten to create firm clamping tension 5. Adjust Leg Heights: Extend the two stabilizer legs to make solid contact with the ground — legs should be firm, not used to lift the RV 6. Check for Stability: Verify the unit is secure and the legs are making solid ground contact before use Refer to MORryde's I-Beam Mount Stabilizer Owner's Guide for complete setup and safety instructions.

Unlike basic stack jacks or scissor stabilizers that only contact the ground, the SP54-253 connects directly to the RV's I-beam frame — giving the ratchet strap something solid to tension against and providing true lateral resistance that ground-only stabilizers cannot match.
