Marshall Excelsior 350 PSI Rated Made in USA Marshall Excelsior MER613-30 -- 30" Propane Hose, 3/8" Female Flare Swivel x 3/8" Female Flare Swivel

A purpose-built liquid propane gas hose for RV, camper, and outdoor LP applications. The MER613-30 connects two 3/8" female flare fittings with a flexible, thermoplastic body rated to 350 PSI working pressure -- giving you solid, tested performance for tank-to-regulator and regulator-to-appliance runs.

Reliable LP Gas Connections for Your RV or Outdoor Setup

Marshall Excelsior has been manufacturing propane and LP gas handling equipment in the USA for decades. The MER613-30 is part of their proven hose line -- built to UL and CGA standards and assembled with fully crimped brass ferrules on both ends for leak-free, long-term performance in demanding RV environments.

At 30 inches in length with a 3/8" inside diameter, this hose gives you enough reach to make clean, low-stress connections between tanks, regulators, and downstream appliances without sharp bends or strain on fittings. The flexible thermoplastic construction resists cracking and kinking, even in cold weather conditions common during fall and winter camping.

350 PSI Working Pressure

Rated for 350 PSI working pressure with a 400 lb pull test -- exceeds typical RV LP system operating pressures by a wide margin.

Dual Swivel Fittings

3/8" female flare swivel on both ends allows easy connection and disconnection without twisting or stressing the hose body.

UL and CGA Approved

Certified to Underwriters Laboratories and Compressed Gas Association standards -- compliant for LP gas service on RVs and outdoor appliances.

Thermal Protection Included

Built-in thermal protection safeguards the hose from heat sources commonly found near RV LP systems and outdoor cooking setups.

Construction and Materials

The hose body is flexible thermoplastic rated for LP liquid and vapor gas service. Both ends are finished with fully crimped brass ferrules -- a more durable and leak-resistant termination method than screw-on or barbed fittings. The 3/8" female flare swivel connections follow standard CGA flare fitting dimensions and mate with the vast majority of LP regulators, POL adapters, and appliance inlets used in RV applications.

Swivel Fittings Make a Real Difference
Standard flare fittings require you to rotate the hose itself to tighten the connection, which builds twist stress into the hose over time. Swivel ends on both sides of the MER613-30 let each fitting rotate independently, so you can snug up connections without winding up the hose body.

Typical RV and Outdoor Applications

  • Tank-to-regulator connections on single or dual-tank RV LP systems
  • Regulator-to-manifold or regulator-to-appliance runs (furnaces, water heaters, ranges)
  • Connecting portable propane tanks to outdoor grills, fire pits, or camp stoves via an LP quick-connect or POL adapter
  • Service loops where rigid copper tubing is not practical
  • Replacement hose where the original has cracked, kinked, or shows corrosion at the ferrules
Thread Standard: 3/8" SAE flare (also noted as 3/8"-24 UNF inverted flare in CGA/LP applications) is the dominant standard on RV LP regulators and most US-made propane appliances. If your existing fittings are 3/8" flare, this hose connects directly with no adapters required.

Inspection and Replacement Guidance

LP gas hoses should be inspected before each camping season and replaced if you find any of the following:

  • Visible cracks, cuts, or abrasions in the hose body
  • Corrosion, pitting, or green oxidation at the brass ferrules or fittings
  • Soft spots, bulges, or kinking that won't straighten
  • Any history of the hose being exposed to flame or direct heat
Maintenance Tip: After reconnecting this hose, apply a small amount of liquid leak detector (such as Camco Leak Detector) to both flare connections and check for bubbles with the LP system pressurized. This is the fastest way to confirm a leak-free installation before relying on the system.

Warranty and Origin

The MER613-30 carries a limited 5-year manufacturer warranty from Marshall Excelsior. It is manufactured in the USA -- a distinction that matters when you are relying on the hose in a safety-critical LP gas system.

Important Information
  • This hose is rated for LP (liquefied petroleum) gas service only. Do not use for natural gas, compressed air, oxygen, or other gases outside the rated service.
  • Maximum working pressure is 350 PSI. Do not use in applications that exceed this rating.
  • Always turn off the LP supply valve and relieve system pressure before disconnecting or replacing hoses.
  • Inspect both flare fittings on your regulator and appliance for damage, corrosion, or cross-threading before connecting. Damaged fittings will not seal properly even with a new hose.
  • Do not over-tighten flare fittings -- snug plus approximately 1/4 turn is standard for brass flare connections. Over-tightening can crack the flare seat.
  • This hose includes thermal protection, but it is not rated for direct flame contact. Route away from burner exhaust, heat exchangers, and other high-heat surfaces.
  • Verify with your local RV service technician or LP inspector that this hose meets any jurisdiction-specific code requirements if used in a permanently installed system.
