Marshall Excelsior 350 PSIG Rated Made in USA MER421-60 Stay-Longer LP Gas Hose -- 60 Inches, 1"-20 Female Swivel x 1"-20 Male

Built specifically for RV propane systems, the Marshall Excelsior Stay-Longer hose gives you a full 60 inches of reach between your LP cylinder and regulator or appliance connection. With a 350 PSIG working pressure rating, fully crimped brass ferrules, and built-in thermal protection, this hose is engineered to handle the demands of RV life -- whether you are parked at a campground or living full-time on the road.

More Reach, More Security for Your RV Propane Setup

Standard LP hoses are often too short for convenient cylinder placement, forcing awkward routing and tight bends. The 60-inch Stay-Longer hose solves that by giving you generous slack for natural hose routing without stress on the fittings. The 1"-20 female swivel inlet threads directly onto a standard POL/QCC-style LP cylinder valve or regulator outlet, while the 1"-20 male end connects to the mating fitting on your regulator or manifold.

Fully crimped brass ferrules at both ends ensure a gas-tight seal that will not loosen over time -- no clamps, no field-assembled joints. The thermal protection sleeve guards the hose body against heat sources commonly found in RV compartments and engine bays.

350 PSIG Working Pressure

Rated well above typical RV LP system pressures, giving a strong safety margin for propane vapor and liquid service.

400 lb Pull Test Rating

Crimped brass ferrule connections are pull-tested to 400 lbs, confirming the fitting-to-hose bond will not separate under stress.

Thermal Protection

Integral thermal protection guards the hose body against radiant heat and brief contact with warm surfaces in enclosed LP compartments.

Made in USA -- 5-Year Warranty

Manufactured in the United States and backed by Marshall Excelsior's limited 5-year manufacturer warranty.

Thread Compatibility and Connection Details

Both ends of this hose use the 1"-20 UNF thread standard common across RV LP systems in North America:

  • Female Swivel End (inlet): 1"-20 UNF left-hand thread swivel nut -- threads onto a standard POL male outlet or a QCC1-style regulator inlet. The swivel design lets you tighten the connection without twisting the hose body.
  • Male End (outlet): 1"-20 UNF male fitting -- connects to the female inlet of a two-stage regulator, manifold, or LP appliance fitting.
  • No thread tape or sealant required on the swivel end; use a properly rated LP-approved sealant on the male threaded end per your regulator manufacturer's instructions.
Why the Stay-Longer Series? Marshall Excelsior's Stay-Longer hoses feature a reinforced inner core designed to resist kinking and maintain flexibility in cold weather -- a common failure point on cheaper LP hoses that stiffen and crack in sub-freezing temperatures. The 60-inch length is the most popular for RV dual-cylinder setups with a changeover regulator.

Typical RV Applications

  • Connecting 20 lb or 30 lb LP cylinders to a two-stage or automatic changeover regulator
  • Extending reach in slideout-equipped RVs where the LP compartment shifts position
  • Replacing worn, cracked, or kinked factory-installed hoses on Class A, Class C, fifth wheels, and travel trailers
  • Pigtail connections in RV park LP systems and campground setups
What Is Included: One (1) Marshall Excelsior MER421-60 Stay-Longer LP gas hose, 60 inches long, with 1"-20 female swivel fitting on one end and 1"-20 male fitting on the other. No regulator, no cylinder valve, and no adapters are included.
Maintenance Tips
  • Inspect the hose body and fittings for cracks, abrasion, or corrosion at the start of every camping season.
  • Check connections with approved LP leak-detection solution (never an open flame) after installation or reconnection.
  • Replace immediately if the outer jacket is cracked, if fittings show corrosion, or if the hose was involved in a fire or physical impact.
  • Store coiled loosely -- do not fold sharply or allow heavy objects to rest on the hose.

Important Safety Information
  • This hose is intended for LP propane gas service only. Do not use with natural gas, oxygen, compressed air, or any fluid service.
  • Always shut off the LP cylinder valve before connecting or disconnecting this hose.
  • After installation, test all connections with an approved LP leak-detection solution. Never use an open flame to check for leaks.
  • Do not use this hose if the outer jacket is cracked, abraded, or kinked, or if either fitting shows visible corrosion or damage.
  • Do not exceed the 350 PSIG working pressure rating. Standard RV two-stage regulator inlet pressure is well below this limit under normal cylinder conditions.
  • Keep the hose away from open flames, exhaust pipes, and surfaces that remain hot during operation.
  • Replace the hose at the first sign of deterioration or at the intervals recommended by your RV or appliance manufacturer -- do not exceed 10 years of service life regardless of apparent condition.
  • Installation must comply with NFPA 58 (LP Gas Code) and all applicable local codes. If you are unsure, consult a certified LP gas technician.
