JR Products UL/CSA Approved OEM LP Appliance Hose JR Products 07-31575 -- 60" OEM RV LP Appliance Hose, 1/4" MPT x 1/4" Quick Disconnect Male

Drop-in OEM replacement for RV propane quick-disconnect appliance ports. Connects your rig's LP supply to an exterior quick-disconnect outlet with confidence -- UL and CSA listed, built for RV service pressures.

The Right Hose for RV Quick-Disconnect Propane Ports

The JR Products 07-31575 is a 60-inch OEM thermoplastic LP appliance hose designed specifically for RV propane systems. One end threads directly into a 1/4" female pipe thread fitting on the RV's gas distribution manifold or regulator outlet. The other end terminates in a 1/4" quick disconnect male fitting -- the standard connection used by JR Products and many OEM RV manufacturers for exterior appliance ports, portable grill hookups, fire pit connections, and dedicated LP outlet boxes mounted on the rig's exterior.

At 60 inches (5 feet), this hose provides enough reach for most under-chassis routing or wall-cavity runs without excess slack that could kink or chafe. The thermoplastic construction is rated for LP gas service and meets both UL and CSA safety standards, making it appropriate for OEM installations and owner replacements alike.

60-Inch Working Length

Five feet of hose provides comfortable routing through walls or underbelly channels to reach exterior QD appliance ports.

1/4" MPT Inlet

Standard 1/4" male pipe thread end connects to LP manifolds, tee fittings, or regulator outlets found in most RV propane systems.

1/4" QD Male Outlet

Quick disconnect male fitting mates with standard JR Products and OEM-compatible QD female receptacles at the appliance port.

UL and CSA Listed

Meets UL and CSA standards for LP gas appliance hose, satisfying both insurance and manufacturer installation requirements.

Typical Applications

  • Replacing worn or damaged OEM hoses feeding JR Products exterior quick-disconnect outlet boxes
  • New installation of a propane QD port on a travel trailer, fifth wheel, or motorhome sidewall
  • Supplying a portable propane grill or tailgate burner via an RV's built-in QD receptacle
  • Fire pit or patio heater connections when the RV is set up at a campsite
  • Feeding a secondary LP appliance from a tee off the existing propane distribution system

How the Quick Disconnect System Works

JR Products' 1/4" quick disconnect system uses a spring-loaded female receptacle (typically flush-mounted in the RV's exterior wall plate) and a male plug on the appliance side. When the male plug is inserted, it opens the valve inside the female receptacle and allows gas to flow. When the plug is removed, the valve closes automatically, stopping gas flow without requiring any manual shutoff valve operation. This hose carries gas from the RV's distribution manifold to that female receptacle, completing the internal side of the circuit.

The female QD receptacle and any exterior wall plate are sold separately. This part number covers the internal supply hose only.

Compatibility Check Before You Order

  • Confirm your RV's LP manifold outlet is 1/4" female pipe thread (1/4" FPT) -- this hose's MPT end will not fit a flare-type or POL outlet without an adapter.
  • Confirm your existing or new QD receptacle uses a 1/4" quick disconnect male plug standard -- JR Products QD fittings are not interchangeable with POL, ACME, or type-1 (QCC1) connections.
  • Measure your routing path before ordering -- 60 inches is fixed. JR Products offers other hose lengths in the same series if you need more or less reach.
  • This hose is rated for LP (propane) gas service. Do not use with natural gas, compressed air, or any fluid application.

Installation and Maintenance Tips

  • Use pipe thread sealant rated for LP gas (yellow PTFE tape or liquid sealant) on the 1/4" MPT threads before installation. Do not over-tighten -- hand-tight plus 1 to 2 turns with a wrench is typical for 1/4" NPT fittings.
  • After installation, test all connections with a gas leak detection solution or an electronic LP leak detector. Do not use an open flame to check for leaks.
  • Route the hose away from sharp edges, hot exhaust components, and moving parts. Use protective grommets where the hose passes through metal panels.
  • Inspect the hose annually for cracking, kinking, abrasion, or discoloration. Replace immediately if any damage is found.
  • Close the manual LP shutoff valve at the tank before disconnecting or replacing any hose.

Important Information -- Safety and Installation

  • LP gas is flammable and explosive. All propane hose installations must be performed with the tank valve fully closed. Verify zero pressure in the line before disconnecting existing fittings.
  • Leak test every connection after installation using an approved gas leak detection solution. Do not use an open flame.
  • This hose is for LP (propane) gas only. Do not use for natural gas, compressed air, water, or any other medium.
  • Fitting thread type matters. The supply end is 1/4" MPT (pipe thread/NPT). It requires a 1/4" FPT mating fitting. It will not seal correctly on a flare or compression fitting without an appropriate adapter.
  • The QD female receptacle is not included. Purchase the appropriate JR Products QD receptacle and wall plate separately if installing a new port.
  • Inspect annually and replace if the hose shows any cracking, kinking, discoloration, or physical damage. LP hoses should not be used beyond their rated service life.
  • Check all local codes and RV manufacturer guidelines for LP system work. Some jurisdictions require licensed technicians for propane system modifications.
