This is a narrow, spec-specific fitment — the KY 60 Hz series uses different air filter part numbers starting at Spec B and beyond. Confirm your generator's spec letter from the data plate before ordering.
Like all Green Label air filters, the 140-2609 features a special foam pre-cleaner providing an additional filtration stage ahead of the main element. Other manufacturers' filters may use lighter-density filter paper with sealing surfaces that become brittle and crack over time, allowing unfiltered air into the engine intake.
