The Parallax Power 4455 is a 55 amp deckmount converter charger designed to supply nominal 12V DC power for RV lighting, fans, pumps, appliance controls, and other 12V-operated equipment. It also functions as a battery charger for compatible RV battery systems.
As part of the Parallax 4400 Series, the 4455 uses a steel powder-coated enclosure and a standard 120VAC 15 amp line cord for deckmount installation. It is TempAssure™-option ready, allowing the unit to be upgraded with Parallax’s 4400TAU module for temperature-compensated charging when desired.

The Parallax 4455 is commonly used in travel trailers, fifth wheels, motorhomes, truck campers, and specialty vehicles that use a 12V battery bank and need a 55 amp deckmount converter charger. It may be used as a replacement for compatible converter chargers when the AC input circuit, DC output amperage, battery type, wiring, fuse protection, mounting space, and ventilation requirements are verified.

The 4455 is TempAssure™-option ready but does not include temperature compensation as standard. For temperature-compensated charging, add the Parallax 4400TAU module or choose the 4455TC model if a factory temperature-compensated version is desired. Verify battery type and charging requirements before choosing the standard 4455 or a TempAssure-equipped model.
