The Parallax Power 55RU is a 55 amp converter/charger lower-section replacement module designed for compatible RV power centers. It replaces the converter section inside supported Parallax and MagneTek power centers, allowing the existing distribution panel housing to remain in place when fitment is correct.
This RU Series replacement section is commonly used to upgrade or service Parallax and MagneTek 7355 power centers, as well as select 7300 and 8300 Series applications. It provides 12V DC converter output for RV loads while also charging the battery bank with a three-current-stage charging design.

The 55RU is commonly used as a lower-section replacement for Parallax and MagneTek 7355 power centers and select 7300/8300 Series power centers. It is not a complete power center or a universal converter replacement. For temperature-compensated charging, add the optional Parallax 4400TAU TempAssureā¢ module.
Converter section replacement involves 120V AC power and high-current 12V DC wiring. Incorrect installation can cause electrical shock, fire, equipment damage, battery damage, or improper charging.
