The Curt 55384 is a custom wiring connector that plugs directly into your vehicle's existing factory 7-way tow package wiring, adding a standard 4-way flat socket while retaining full use of the original 7-way connector. It's designed for trucks and SUVs that already have a factory tow package but need a 4-way flat connection for a trailer that doesn't use the larger 7-way plug.
Since it taps directly into your OEM USCAR-style connector, there's no cutting, splicing, or tapping required — it simply plugs in. A dust cover is included to keep the connector clean and protected when it isn't in use, and it's compatible with a wide range of GM, Cadillac, Buick, and Audi vehicles equipped with the appropriate factory wiring.

This is a vehicle-side wiring connector, not an electric trailer brake controller — it doesn't provide brake control functionality for 1-4 axle trailers on its own.
