At 10" drop and 10" rise, this is the right choice when a lifted truck's receiver sits significantly higher than the trailer's coupler and a 6" drop simply isn't enough to achieve a level tow.

The Flash SSBM 49-00-5900 is a ball mount — it connects your tow vehicle to your trailer and holds the hitch ball securely. It does not provide weight distribution or trailer sway control. For trailers where tongue weight causes rear sag on the tow vehicle, or where sway is a concern, a weight distribution hitch is the appropriate solution. Fastway offers the e2™ Weight Distribution Hitch series for these applications. Consult your tow vehicle's owner's manual for its maximum tongue weight capacity and whether a weight distribution hitch is required before towing.
A 10" drop is a significant correction — most commonly needed for lifted trucks. Confirm your measurement carefully before ordering. Step 1: Measure your tow vehicle's receiver opening height from the ground — on level ground with the vehicle loaded as it will be while towing. Step 2: Measure your trailer's coupler height from the ground — with the trailer loaded as it will be while towing. Step 3: Subtract the coupler height from the receiver height. The result is your required drop. Example: Receiver at 27" — Coupler at 17" = 10" drop → 49-00-5900 is the correct choice. The 49-00-5900 also functions as a 10" rise when flipped — symmetrical in both orientations. If your coupler sits higher than the receiver by 10", this mount works equally well inverted.
Installation Steps: 1. Confirm Drop Size: Measure receiver height and coupler height to confirm 10" drop (or 10" rise when flipped) is correct — this is a significant correction, most appropriate for lifted trucks 2.
