This cover is sized for a standard 20 lb. (5-gallon) propane cylinder -- the most common size used on travel trailers, fifth wheels, and pop-up campers for cooking, furnaces, and water heaters. A standard 20 lb. DOT cylinder measures approximately 12 inches in diameter and 17-18 inches tall. The cover's 18.5 in. width and 13.5 in. depth accommodate the cylinder with enough clearance for the protective shell to seat securely.
No special tools required. The two shell halves join around the tank using the supplied screws and lock nuts. Bottom tabs engage the base of the cylinder for a snug, rattle-free fit. Bungee cord can be routed through the integrated holes to add an extra layer of security during travel. All mounting hardware is included in the box.
