Hitches are manufactured to fit individual vehicle models.
The hitch features vehicle model and bed length specific mounting brackets which are made to distribute towing forces and have pre-punched holes to utilize existing frame holes where possible.
This hitch assembly comes with premium Grade Five 1/2" Fasteners, bolts and lock nuts for this load application.
INVERTED BALL The hitch ball can be kept in the cylinder when not in use, keeping the truck bed free for storage. Pulling the ball straight up easily removes it. A locking tab shows when the ball is locked into tow ready position. Locking lever eliminates wheel well levers or cables. Tapered channels and a ¾” Load Lug eliminates up and down movement of the ball.
DIAMOND HITCH FLATBED KITThe Diamond Hitch Flatbed Kit is delivered ready to install in your Chevy / GMC flatbed truck, and includes mounting instructions, bolts, brackets, and safety chain loops. The kit also includes an Inverta 2-5/16" Ball Stud and either a 3 1/2" or 5" receiver cylinder.
The Inverta ball is kept in place by a spring-loaded locking mechanism, to avoid having it become unattached by accident. This also gets rid of the levers, locks or cables in truck fender wells. The hitch ball can also be unlocked and inverted to store the ball in the socket until you need it again.
The ability to remove the hitch ball and store it keeps the Diamond Hitch flush with the floor. The Diamond Hitch is mounted entirely underneath your Chevy / GMC truck bed, keeping it open for storing and transporting cargo.
Installation is made easier and quicker because the Diamond Hitch is bolted directly to the truck frame. It needs a four-inch hole in the truck bed for the ball cylinder, but uses existing bolts and holes whenever it can. The main hitch assembly is constructed from one-piece tubular steel to add to the overall strength and durability.
