B&W Hitches Underbed Gooseneck Heavy-Duty Towing B&W Hitches GNRK1314 Gooseneck Hitch Kit -- Clean Underbed Install, Built for Serious Towing

If you tow a gooseneck trailer and want a hitch that disappears when you're not using it, the B&W GNRK1314 is the kit to buy. This is the truck-specific mounting hardware set that pairs with B&W's Turnoverball gooseneck hitch system, giving you a rock-solid underbed anchor point without a permanent ball cluttering your truck bed. Designed for precision fit and long-term durability, it's the choice of ranchers, horse haulers, and heavy equipment movers who need a hitch that works every time.

A Gooseneck Hitch Kit Built Around How You Actually Use Your Truck

The B&W Turnoverball system has earned a loyal following in the working-truck world for one straightforward reason: when you're not towing, the ball flips down below the bed floor and a cover plate fills the hole. You get your flat truck bed back. The GNRK1314 is the vehicle-specific rail and bracket kit that makes this possible -- it's the foundation the Turnoverball ball mount sits in.

B&W engineers these kits to match exact frame and bed configurations for specific truck makes and model years. The GNRK1314 is designed for a defined fitment application (see compatibility table), so the mounting rails align with your truck's existing frame holes without drilling or modification in most cases. Hardware, rails, and mounting brackets are all included -- you won't be making a separate hardware store run mid-install.

Turnoverball Compatible

Designed to work with B&W's Turnoverball gooseneck ball mount. Ball flips below bed level when not in use, leaving a flat, usable truck bed.

Truck-Specific Fit

Rails and brackets are engineered for exact frame and bed geometry -- no universal-fit guesswork. Aligns with factory frame locations in most applications.

Complete Hardware Included

Kit ships with mounting rails, cross tube, mounting brackets, and all required hardware. No separate hardware purchases needed for a standard install.

Heavy-Duty Construction

Steel components with a corrosion-resistant finish. Built to handle the sustained loads of livestock trailers, equipment haulers, and large gooseneck campers.

What Is the Turnoverball System and Where Does GNRK1314 Fit In?

B&W's Turnoverball gooseneck hitch is sold in two pieces: the truck-specific mounting kit (the GNRK series) and the Turnoverball head itself (sold separately, typically the OEM1314 or similar). The GNRK1314 is the mounting kit -- it installs in the truck bed and provides the receiver socket that the Turnoverball ball assembly drops into. If you already own a Turnoverball head from a previous truck, you may only need this kit. If you're starting fresh, you'll need both components.

The "1314" suffix in GNRK1314 identifies the specific truck application this kit is engineered for. B&W maintains separate kits for different truck platforms so that the rail geometry, cross tube length, and bracket positions match the actual frame rail spacing and bed floor dimensions of each vehicle. This is not a universal kit stretched to fit multiple trucks -- it's purpose-built.

Turnoverball Advantage: The fold-down ball design means your truck bed is fully usable when you're not towing. No tripping over a fixed ball, no cargo damage, no permanent obstruction. When you're ready to hitch up, the ball locks into the up position in seconds.

Installation Overview

Installation is a DIY-friendly job for someone comfortable working under a truck with basic hand tools. In most applications, the rails bolt to existing frame holes -- no drilling required. General steps include:

  • Remove the truck bed or work through the bed (method varies by truck)
  • Position and bolt the mounting rails to the frame using supplied hardware
  • Install the cross tube and center bracket assembly
  • Drop the Turnoverball head into the center socket
  • Install the bed access hole cover when the ball is in the down position

B&W provides detailed, truck-specific installation instructions with the kit. Most experienced DIYers complete the install in 2-4 hours. Professional installation is also widely available at truck accessory shops and hitch centers.

Note on the Turnoverball Head: The GNRK1314 is the mounting kit only. The Turnoverball gooseneck ball assembly (B&W part OEM1314 or equivalent) is sold separately. Verify that you have or are ordering the correct ball assembly to complete your system.

Who Uses This Kit

The B&W Turnoverball system is a go-to for:

  • Horse and livestock trailer haulers who need reliable, repeated hookups
  • Farmers and ranchers towing grain, flatbed, or equipment trailers
  • Construction crews moving heavy gooseneck equipment trailers
  • RV owners towing large gooseneck-style fifth wheel campers
  • Anyone who wants a clean bed when not towing and a serious hitch when they are
Maintenance Tip: Periodically inspect the mounting hardware for torque -- vibration from heavy towing loads can work bolts loose over time. Check all fasteners after the first 500 miles of towing and annually thereafter. Keep the ball socket clean and lightly lubricated for smooth ball rotation and retention.
Complete Your System: Pair this mounting kit with the B&W Turnoverball gooseneck ball assembly for a complete, ready-to-tow setup. B&W also offers a Companion 5th Wheel hitch that uses this same underbed rail system, allowing you to switch between gooseneck and 5th wheel towing with one set of mounting rails.

Important Information -- Read Before Ordering and Installing
  • This kit is the mounting rail system ONLY. The Turnoverball gooseneck ball head is sold separately -- your system is not complete without it.
  • The GNRK1314 is designed for a specific truck application. Verify your truck year, make, model, and bed configuration against B&W's fitment guide before ordering. Installing on an incompatible truck will result in improper fit and is unsafe.
  • Never exceed your truck's Gross Vehicle Weight Rating (GVWR), Gross Combined Weight Rating (GCWR), or the rear axle weight rating. The hitch capacity does not override the truck's rated limits.
  • Installing this hitch requires cutting an access hole in the truck bed floor. This is a permanent modification to the truck bed. Measure and locate carefully before cutting.
  • All mounting hardware must be torqued to B&W's specified values. Under-torqued fasteners can work loose under load and create a dangerous towing situation.
  • Do not use this kit with non-B&W ball assemblies or adapters not approved by B&W Hitches. Mixing components can compromise the rated capacity and safety of the system.
  • Inspect all components for damage before installation. Do not install bent, cracked, or damaged rails or hardware.
