The panoramic front cap window on Rockwood Ultra Lite, Signature Ultra Lite, and Super Lite trailers is one of the most expensive single pieces of glass on the rig. Rock chips, highway debris, and vibration-induced stress fractures are the leading causes of front cap glass failure -- and most happen in transit, not at the campsite.

Front cap glass is large, curved, and positioned directly in the path of everything thrown off the tow vehicle's tires. Rock chips are the obvious threat, but fatigue cracking from sustained vibration and thermal expansion stress is an equally common failure mode on long trips. The RVSHDY04 mounts on the exterior of the trailer before each trip and is removed at camp. No drilling, no permanent hardware, and no modifications to the trailer are required.
