Stop guessing with a level and moving blocks around. The Ground Control 3.0 is Lippert's fully motorized, four-point automatic leveling system built specifically for 5th-wheel trailers. One button press on the touchpad or wireless remote and the system finds level on its own -- then holds it with four steel jacks so you can relax, not wrench.
The Lippert Ground Control 3.0 uses Hall effect sensor technology to track motor revolutions per minute -- not amperage -- when controlling jack travel. That means the system gets precise, repeatable results regardless of ground conditions or load shifts that would fool an amp-sensing system. The four motorized jacks work together automatically in auto-level mode, or you can take manual control and move individual jacks or paired jacks when the site demands it.
The front landing gear integrates with your existing 5th-wheel mounting points, so no cutting or custom fabrication is needed at the front. The rear jacks bolt to 8-inch, 10-inch, or 12-inch frame rails using the included mounting brackets. Drilling is required for the rear installation, but no welding is needed anywhere on the system.
Press a single button and the system automatically raises and lowers all four jacks to bring your 5th wheel to level. No manual adjustments, no guesswork.
Sensors measure motor RPM rather than amp draw for accurate jack positioning. Performance stays consistent regardless of load or temperature changes.
The included touchscreen remote lets you monitor and operate the system from up to 50 feet away -- useful when you need to watch a jack while operating the controls.
Each jack includes a manual override access point so you can retract or extend jacks by hand in the event of a power failure or electrical fault.
The included touchpad control mounts inside a front exterior storage compartment using the provided hardware. It features an LCD screen with clearly labeled buttons for auto-level, retract, manual jack selection, and status readout. You do not need to remove the remote from its holster to operate the system -- the touchpad handles all functions independently.
All four jacks are constructed from steel with a corrosion-resistant black powder coat finish. Large, round footplates are standard on all jacks to distribute load across soft ground and reduce sinking on gravel, grass, or dirt sites. The front jacks include drop legs for added travel range, giving you more adjustment capability when your 5th-wheel kingpin height varies from site to site.
The Ground Control 3.0 is a 12-volt DC system that connects directly to your trailer's existing power source. The included wiring harnesses are pre-terminated and labeled. A control module and level sensor are included in the kit and must be mounted during installation. All mounting hardware for the control module and sensor is included.
