Lippert Part 47-0034 750 lb Capacity Lippert Entry Step Control Module -- Revolution Step Series and TT Revolution Slide

This is the factory replacement control module for Lippert Revolution electric entry steps and TT Revolution slide-out steps. It manages motor direction, obstacle detection, and door-trigger signals so your steps deploy and retract reliably every time. If your Revolution steps have stopped responding, run erratically, or fail to retract, this module is the most common root-cause repair -- and it swaps in without modifying your existing wiring harness.

Direct-Replacement Module for Lippert Revolution Steps

The Lippert 47-0034 control module is engineered specifically for the Revolution step series and TT Revolution slide application. It reads the door-switch signal, drives the step motor in the correct direction, monitors current draw to detect obstacles, and cuts power instantly if the step meets resistance -- protecting both the mechanism and anyone standing nearby.

The module housing is heavy-gauge steel with a black powder coat finish, built to live in the exposed undercarriage environment. Wiring connectors are sealed against moisture and road grime, so you don't have to wrap them in self-amalgamating tape or relocate them to a dry bay.

Sealed Connectors

Factory-sealed wiring connectors resist moisture, road spray, and corrosion -- no additional weatherproofing needed at installation.

Auto Obstacle Stop

Built-in current-sensing logic halts step travel immediately if an obstruction is detected, preventing damage to the step mechanism or injury.

750 lb Step Capacity

Engineered to control steps rated at up to 750 lbs, consistent with Lippert Revolution series structural ratings.

Plug-and-Play Replacement

Mates directly to the existing Revolution step wiring harness -- no splicing or adapter cables required for a straightforward swap.

What This Module Controls

The control module is the electronic brain of the Lippert Revolution step system. It receives a 12V door-open or door-close signal from the coach door switch or a manual override switch, then sends the appropriate drive signal to the step motor. Key functions include:

  • Motor direction control -- extends steps on door open, retracts on door close
  • Obstacle detection via motor current monitoring -- stops travel if resistance exceeds threshold
  • Timeout protection -- cuts motor power after a set travel time to prevent motor burnout if the step is physically blocked
  • Compatibility with both Revolution multi-step series and TT Revolution slide-mounted step configurations

Common Symptoms of a Failed Control Module

  • Steps do not move when door is opened or closed
  • Steps extend but will not retract (or vice versa)
  • Steps retract partially then stop
  • Steps cycle in and out repeatedly without stabilizing
  • Blown fuse on the step circuit that returns after replacement

Before replacing the module, confirm 12V power is present at the harness and that the door switch is functioning. If power and switch check out, the control module is the next logical replacement.

Direct OEM Replacement: Part number 47-0034 (also referenced as Lippert 363980 in some service documentation) is the current Lippert production replacement module. It restores factory step behavior without any programming or calibration steps.
Compatibility Note: This module is designed for the Lippert Revolution step series and TT Revolution slide step application. Verify your existing step unit carries a Revolution series designation before ordering. Lippert also produces the Kwikee series steps, which use different control modules and are not compatible with this part.
Installation Tips:
  • Disconnect 12V shore power and the coach battery before removing the old module.
  • Photograph the existing connector orientation before unplugging -- the harness connectors are keyed but a reference photo speeds reassembly.
  • Mount the replacement module in the same orientation as the original to preserve connector strain relief.
  • After installation, cycle the step manually via the door switch 2-3 times to confirm full travel in both directions before driving.
Related Components: If the module checks out but steps still malfunction, also inspect the Lippert Revolution step motor, drive rods (solid steel with stainless steel bushings), and the door switch signal wire for continuity. Lippert sells these components separately for a complete step system rebuild.

Important Information
  • This module is designed for Lippert Revolution step series and TT Revolution slide applications only -- do not attempt to use it with Kwikee or other Lippert step families.
  • Always disconnect 12V power (shore and battery) before removing or installing this module to avoid short circuits or motor damage.
  • The 750 lb capacity rating applies to the step mechanism -- exceeding this load can damage drive rods and motor regardless of module condition.
  • A blown step fuse that keeps returning after module replacement may indicate a wiring short or seized motor -- inspect the full circuit before assuming the new module is faulty.
  • This is an electronic control module. It is not returnable if installed and damaged due to incorrect wiring or reverse polarity.
