The Suburban Mfg 5331A (model SW12DELC) is a 12-gallon dual-fuel water heater that runs on LP gas, 120V electric, or both simultaneously for faster recovery. It uses direct spark ignition (DSI) on the gas side and a 1440-watt Incoloy electric element on the 120V side, providing a 6.1 gallon-per-hour recovery rate on electric alone, or up to 16.2 gallons per hour when running gas and electric together. A 12-volt relay allows the electric heating element to be controlled from inside the RV, and the "Corded" designation means this model connects via a standard plug-in power cord rather than being hardwired. The durable porcelain-lined steel tank with foam insulation includes a large-diameter drain and a replaceable anode rod for long service life.
Part #5331A pairs with the full model designation SW12DELC: "L" indicates a 12V relay for interior electric control, and "C" indicates a corded (plug-in) electrical connection.
