In 2019, Ram sold two completely different Ram 1500 trucks. The K-Source 80730 Snap & Zap mirrors are the custom-fit towing mirror extensions designed specifically for the 5th-generation Ram 1500 (DT platform) introduced for the 2019 model year. Where the earlier 80710 fits the 4th-generation body style (including the Ram 1500 Classic), the 80730 is shaped to match the redesigned mirror housing of the new-style truck — the two are not interchangeable.
Like the 80710, the 80730 snaps directly over the factory mirrors without tools and extends the mirror surface outward for a wider rear view when towing trailers wider than the truck. A key advantage on the 80730: the mirrors are designed to fold together with the factory power-folding mirrors without being removed first — a convenience noted by multiple reviewers that the older 80710 does not offer. Rubber cushions inside the housing protect the OEM mirror finish. A storage bag is included for keeping the mirrors clean between towing sessions.

The 80730 does not include a turn signal light and the mirror glass is not heated. If your factory mirrors have turn signals or heated glass, these features are retained on the OEM mirror underneath — the extension does not block them — but the extension itself adds no additional turn signal or heating capability.
