A simple, reliable solution for draining your RV's freshwater tank. The Camco 22243 features a dual-size outlet that accepts either 1/2" or 3/4" vinyl tubing -- so you can work with whatever hose you have on hand without hunting for adapters.
Winterizing, seasonal storage, or just a routine freshwater flush -- getting water out of your RV's tank shouldn't require a trip to the hardware store. The Camco 22243 screws directly into the tank's drain port and gives you a barbed outlet sized to fit both 1/2" and 3/4" vinyl tubing, covering the two most common hose sizes used in RV plumbing.
The no-flange design keeps the profile compact and the installation straightforward. Made from durable plastic rated for freshwater use, this valve is a low-cost, high-reliability upgrade over a bare drain plug.
Single barbed outlet fits standard 1/2" or 3/4" vinyl tubing -- no reducer or adapter needed for either size.
Low-profile body at 3.6" x 1.5" x 5.7" fits tight tank compartments where a flanged valve won't clear.
Freshwater-safe plastic resists corrosion and UV exposure, holding up through repeated seasonal use.
Camco backs this valve with a 90-day limited warranty against manufacturing defects.
This drain valve is designed for RV freshwater holding tanks. Common use cases include:
The 22243 threads into the existing freshwater tank drain port. Before installing, turn off any water pump and depressurize the system. Drain remaining water, apply thread sealant tape to the male threads, and hand-tighten into the port -- do not overtighten plastic fittings. Slip your vinyl tubing over the barbed end, route to a drain point, then open the valve to flow.
Vinyl tubing, hose clamps, and thread tape are NOT included.
