The JR Products 70315 Shur-Latch is a surface mount cabinet or door latch built around a two-piece design that creates a strong base able to resist the stress of repeated opening and closing. A plastic latch piece installs into a hole in the cabinet door and engages a striker plate mounted on the frame side of the cabinet, keeping the door securely closed while the RV is in motion. The catch is spring-loaded, and pulling out on the latch's tab releases it to open the door.
If only the striker plate needs to be replaced rather than the entire latch, JR Products sells a replacement striker specifically sized for the Shur-Latch (part #70315) separately.
