Dinosaur Electronics24VAC Operation3-Year WarrantyDinosaur Electronics 41-0048 -- 24VAC Fan Control Ignitor Board for Park Model Furnaces

The Dinosaur Electronics 41-0048 (SKU 80-8713) is a purpose-built 24V AC fan control ignitor board designed specifically for park model furnaces. It replaces failed OEM control boards with a proven, fuse-protected design that features intelligent 3-try ignition logic, automatic retry sequencing, and a bi-color LED for at-a-glance diagnostics -- making troubleshooting and installation straightforward for technicians and confident DIYers alike.

Smart Ignition Control Built for Park Model Furnaces

Park model furnaces run on 24V AC control circuits, and the Dinosaur Electronics 41-0048 is engineered specifically for that environment. Unlike 12V DC boards used in mobile RV applications, this board is designed to work with the AC power distribution found in park model and seasonal cabin setups where shore power is always available.

The board's ignition sequencing logic is conservative and safety-conscious. On each call for heat, it attempts ignition up to three times. If the flame sensor does not detect a successful ignition on the third try, the board shuts the fan motor down after 90 seconds (one and a half minutes) to prevent unburned gas from accumulating. After locking out, the board waits one full hour before attempting the ignition cycle again automatically -- reducing nuisance lockouts while still protecting the system. A full reset can also be triggered by cycling the thermostat.

Bi-Color LED Status Indicator

A single bi-color LED gives you instant board status feedback. The LED illuminates green when power is present on the AIR terminal (fan circuit energized). It switches to red when power is applied to the valve terminal, confirming the gas valve is being commanded open. This makes it easy to trace ignition sequence faults without a meter.

24VAC Operation

Designed exclusively for 24V AC park model furnace control circuits -- not for 12V DC mobile RV furnaces.

3-Try Ignition Logic

Attempts ignition three times before shutting the fan off 90 seconds after the third failed try, protecting the heat exchanger and gas system.

Fuse Protected

Onboard fuse protects the board and connected components from overcurrent damage during fault conditions.

Automatic Retry + Lockout

After a lockout, the board waits one hour and retries the full ignition cycle automatically. Thermostat reset also clears the lockout.

Direct Replacement for Failed Park Model Furnace Boards

If your park model furnace is failing to ignite, cycling on and off, or showing no response from the control board, the 41-0048 is a direct drop-in replacement that restores normal operation. The compact 3.43 x 5.10 inch board mounts in the same footprint as the OEM unit in most park model furnace control compartments. Always verify your existing furnace control voltage is 24V AC before ordering.

Verify Your Furnace Control Voltage Before Installing

This board is rated for 24V AC control circuits only. Park model furnaces typically use 24VAC, but some older or converted units may use 12V DC. Installing a 24VAC board on a 12VDC furnace circuit will damage the board. Confirm your existing board's voltage rating before purchasing.

Installation Tips
  • Photograph all wiring connections on the old board before removal.
  • Check the onboard fuse first if the board shows no power -- a blown fuse is a quick fix before condemning the board.
  • After installation, run through a full ignition cycle and observe the LED: green on AIR terminal, then red on valve terminal confirms normal sequencing.
  • If the board locks out repeatedly, inspect the flame sensor rod and igniter electrode gap before replacing -- a dirty or cracked sensor will prevent flame detection regardless of board condition.

Important Information
  • This board is rated for 24VAC control circuits only. Do not install on 12VDC furnace systems.
  • Intended for park model furnaces, not standard 12V DC RV furnaces (such as Atwood/Suburban mobile units).
  • Always disconnect power to the furnace before removing or installing the control board.
  • Verify all wiring connections match the original board terminals before restoring power.
  • Repeated ignition lockouts may indicate a failed flame sensor, bad igniter, or gas supply issue -- not necessarily a faulty board.
  • The onboard fuse should be inspected before assuming board failure; replace only with a fuse of the same rating.
