Replacement adjustable shank for Fastway e2 weight distribution hitch systems. Fits 2" x 2" trailer hitch receivers and provides the attachment point between the tow vehicle receiver and the e2 hitch head. Rated for 1,200 lb tongue weight. Maximum rise is 7-3/4" for both round bar and trunnion bar systems; maximum drop is 5-1/4" for round bar systems and 3-1/4" for trunnion bar systems.
The Fastway 92-02-4213 e2 Adjustable Shank is used with Fastway e2 weight distribution hitch systems to help set the hitch head at the correct height for level towing. It slides into a standard 2" x 2" trailer hitch receiver and provides the vertical adjustment needed to match the tow vehicle receiver height to the trailer coupler height.
This shank has a 12" overall length, 9-1/2" overall height, and six adjustment holes spaced 1-1/4" apart on center. The available rise and drop depend on whether the shank is used with a round bar or trunnion bar e2 system, making this a useful replacement or alternate-fit shank when the original shank does not provide the correct setup height.
Designed for use with Fastway e2 weight distribution hitch systems
Slides into standard 2" trailer hitch receivers on properly rated tow vehicles
Supports Fastway e2 applications up to 1,200 lb tongue weight when properly matched to the hitch system
Holes are spaced 1-1/4" apart on center for hitch head height adjustment
The maximum rise and drop depend on the style of Fastway e2 hitch being used. Round bar system: Maximum rise is 7-3/4" and maximum drop is 5-1/4". Trunnion bar system: Maximum rise is 7-3/4" and maximum drop is 3-1/4". Always confirm your hitch style, receiver size, tongue weight rating, and required drop/rise measurement before ordering.
The shank is selected based on the height difference between the tow vehicle receiver and the trailer coupler when the trailer is level. Step 1: Park the tow vehicle and trailer on level ground. Step 2: Measure from the ground to the inside top edge of the tow vehicle's receiver opening. Step 3: Measure from the ground to the bottom of the trailer coupler when the trailer is level. Step 4: Compare the two measurements. If the receiver is higher than the coupler, you need drop. If the coupler is higher than the receiver, you need rise. Round bar setup: This shank provides up to 5-1/4" drop or 7-3/4" rise. Trunnion bar setup: This shank provides up to 3-1/4" drop or 7-3/4" rise. If your required drop or rise is outside this range, choose a different e2 shank size.
Installation Steps: 1. Confirm Hitch Style: Verify whether your Fastway e2 hitch is a round bar or trunnion bar system, since the maximum drop differs by style 2. Confirm Receiver Size: Make sure your tow vehicle has a properly rated 2" x 2" trailer hitch receiver 3. Insert the Shank: Slide the 92-02-4213 shank into the receiver in the correct drop or rise orientation 4. Secure the Shank: Install the proper hitch pin and clip or locking hitch pin 5. Mount the Hitch Head: Attach the e2 hitch head to the shank using the correct hitch head hardware 6. Set Hitch Head Height: Use the adjustment holes to position the hitch head so the trailer tows level 7. Torque and Inspect: Tighten all hitch head hardware to the manual specification and inspect the full hitch setup before towing Always follow the Fastway e2 ownerβs manual for your specific hitch model. Do not tow with missing, damaged, modified, or improperly torqued weight distribution hitch hardware.
