Turn the patch of ground outside your RV door into an actual living space. This 8 x 20 foot gray mat lays flat under your awning, keeps dirt and debris out of your rig, and rolls up into its own carry bag when you break camp. Built to stay outside in sun, rain, and humidity without rotting or fading.
The Lippert 2022115672 patio mat is built from a 70% PVS (polyvinyl siloxane) and 30% polyester blend -- a tight-woven construction that resists mold, mildew, and UV degradation season after season. At 8 feet wide and 20 feet long, it fits comfortably under most standard RV awnings and gives you enough room for chairs, a table, and a grill without cramping the space.
Corner metal grommets let you stake the mat to the ground so it stays put in a breeze. Stakes are sold separately -- see Lippert part number 2-2001. Finished edges keep the mat from fraying even after repeated folding and hosing down.
PVS/polyester blend resists mold, mildew, and UV damage. Use it spring through fall without worrying about rot or color fade.
Metal grommets in all four corners accept ground stakes (sold separately, part 2-2001) to keep the mat flat and secure in wind.
Rinse with a garden hose or power washer. Allow to air dry completely before folding for storage. No special cleaners needed.
A matching carry bag is included so the mat folds and stows cleanly between trips. No hunting for a bag that fits.
The 8 x 20 foot footprint is a practical match for most 21- to 30-foot RVs with a standard awning. Set it lengthwise along the side of your rig to cover the full awning run. For slideout-equipped coaches, the 8-foot depth gives clearance from the coach wall to comfortably seat guests without crowding the slide.
Measure your awning length before ordering. A 20-foot mat pairs well with a 21- to 22-foot awning. If your awning is longer, you may want Lippert's larger mat sizes. The 8-foot depth is sufficient for most standard patio setups.
This mat is designed to live outside, but a few habits extend its life significantly:
If storing long-term, make sure the mat is bone dry before it goes in the bag. Even a PVS/polyester blend can develop surface mildew if stored damp in a sealed bay for months.
The four corner grommets are metal -- durable enough to handle repeated stake insertions without tearing out. For best results, use Lippert patio mat stakes (part number 2-2001), which are sized and shaped to work with Lippert's grommet diameter. Tent stakes can work in a pinch on soft ground, but the Lippert-specific stakes seat more securely. On hard-packed or gravel sites, use the mat without stakes and weight the corners with chair legs or cooler feet.
