A direct OEM-style replacement pigtail hose for RV propane systems. The 07-30855 connects a QCC1 (Type 1) propane tank valve to a 1/4" male pipe thread (MPT) appliance inlet or regulator port -- the most common interface in travel trailers, fifth wheels, and motorhomes running standard 20 lb. or 30 lb. DOT cylinders.
When your existing pigtail hose cracks, stiffens, or shows signs of wear, swapping it out before it fails is the smart move. This 15-inch rubber hose is the standard length used on OEM two-stage regulator setups and single-cylinder configurations where the tank sits close to the regulator -- typically in a propane compartment or on a tongue-mounted bracket.
The QCC1 (also called Type 1 or ACME) hand-wheel fitting threads onto standard 20 lb. and 30 lb. propane cylinders without tools. The opposite end is a 1/4" male pipe thread that screws directly into most RV regulators, tee fittings, or changeover valves.
Tool-free connection to standard 20 lb. and 30 lb. DOT propane cylinders. The QCC1 fitting includes an integral check valve that stops flow if the hose is disconnected under pressure.
Connects directly to 1/4" female NPT ports on regulators, changeover valves, and tee fittings -- no adapter needed for most OEM RV plumbing layouts.
Listed to UL 569 and CSA standards for LP gas hose assemblies. Meets requirements for use in recreational vehicles and outdoor appliance applications.
Built to the same specifications as factory-installed pigtail hoses. Drop-in fit for most travel trailer and fifth wheel regulator setups using 1/4" MPT inlets.
This pigtail is the link between your propane cylinder and your RV's first- or second-stage regulator. It is commonly used in these configurations:
QCC1 (Type 1) is the right-hand-thread, hand-tighten fitting with a plastic wheel found on nearly all cylinders built after 1998. POL fittings are the older left-hand-thread brass fittings that require a wrench. This hose uses QCC1 only. If your cylinder has a POL valve, this hose will not fit without a POL-to-QCC1 adapter.
The hose body is 1/4" ID rubber rated for LP gas service. Rubber pigtail hoses remain flexible across a wide temperature range, which makes them easier to route in tight compartments than thermoplastic alternatives. JR Products recommends inspecting the hose annually for cracking, hardening, or abrasion and replacing it at the first sign of deterioration -- or every five years as a routine precaution regardless of appearance.
Propane hoses degrade over time from UV exposure, ozone, and repeated flexing. Check the full length of the hose for cracks, cuts, blistering, or hardened sections before each camping season. A soap-and-water leak test at all connections is standard practice after installation or reconnection.
