• Adapting down (50-amp RV to 30-amp outlet) limits your available power—you'll need to manage loads to avoid tripping breakers.
• Never plug a 50-amp RV into a 30-amp outlet without an adapter—the plug shapes won't allow it anyway, but forcing connections is dangerous.
• Dogbone-style adapters (short cable with plugs on each end) are more common; direct adapters exist for tight spaces.
• For household outlet use (15-amp), you'll get very limited power—enough for lights and charging, not enough for AC or heavy appliances.
