The Rain-X Latitude 2-in-1 is a beam-style wiper blade that does two jobs simultaneously: it clears water from the windshield like any wiper blade, and it continuously deposits Rain-X water repellent directly onto the glass through the graphite-coated rubber squeegee as it wipes. The repellent activates over the first two minutes of use on a clean windshield and then lasts for the life of the blade — so the water-beading effect is always active during rain without needing to apply Rain-X separately.
The beam (frameless) construction eliminates the metal framework of a conventional wiper blade, which removes two major failure modes: uneven pressure distribution that causes streaking, and ice/snow build-up in the frame that prevents the blade from contacting the glass. The contoured beam maintains uniform contact pressure across the full 20" length by hugging the curvature of the windshield. An aerodynamic spoiler reduces wind lift at highway speeds, and the graphite coating on the rubber squeegee delivers a smooth, chatter-free wipe. Installs via pinch tab universal adapter, included.

Per Rain-X's own instructions: 1. Use the included repellent activation wipe to clean and prepare the windshield before first use 2. Run the wipers on a clean, wet, or dry windshield for approximately 2 minutes to activate the water repellency 3. Once activated, the beading effect is maintained for the life of the blade — no periodic reapplication needed Note: Activation works best on a clean windshield. If the glass is contaminated with old wax, oil, or road film, clean it first for best results.
