The Specialty Recreation K1422WT is a complete outer and inner skylight replacement kit for Thor and Forest River Class C motorhomes with 14"×22" openings. Instead of sourcing outer and inner domes separately, this kit provides both pieces matched and ready to install together — along with the approved urethane sealant required for the outer installation.
What makes this an "Extra Tall" kit is the outer dome's 6" height — taller than standard dome profiles. This is specifically relevant for Class C shower skylights: the extra dome height adds clearance above the roofline, allowing the inner garnish to extend further into the shower space below and providing additional headroom for standing in a Class C shower. The inner dome at 8" height works in conjunction with the outer dome through the roof thickness.

The approved urethane sealant included with this kit is specifically compatible with polycarbonate. Do not substitute self-leveling lap sealants (such as Dicor or similar products) — these contain chemicals that react with polycarbonate and can cause cracking and failure of the dome. Use only the included sealant or another product specifically rated for use with polycarbonate plastic.
The Specialty Recreation Inc. product warranty covers defects in workmanship and materials for 1 year from the date of purchase, when the product is used for its intended purpose under normal conditions. Warranty does not apply to damage caused by improper installation. Note: Some product listings reference a 90-day warranty term; Specialty Recreation's published warranty policy is 1 year. Refer to the warranty documentation included with your unit for the applicable term.
