Apply between 60Ā°F and 104Ā°F (15Ā°Cā40Ā°C) for best adhesive bond strength. The temperature difference between the seal and the bonding surface should be as small as possible ā avoid applying in direct sunlight on a very hot surface or in cold ambient conditions. Surface Preparation: Completely remove all old seal material, adhesive residue, dirt, wax, and moisture before applying. Wipe the bonding surface with isopropyl alcohol and allow to fully dry. The surface must be completely clean and dry before applying ā any contamination or moisture will significantly reduce adhesion strength.

What You Need: No tools required. Recommended supplies: isopropyl alcohol, clean cloth, tape measure, scissors or utility knife. Basic Installation Steps: 1. Check Temperature: Confirm ambient and surface temp is between 60Ā°F and 104Ā°F (15Ā°Cā40Ā°C) ā minimize temperature difference between seal and bonding surface 2. Remove Old Seal: Completely remove all old weatherstrip material and adhesive residue from the mounting surface 3. Clean & Dry: Wipe the bonding surface with isopropyl alcohol and allow to fully dry ā do not apply to a damp or contaminated surface 4. Measure & Cut: Measure the door or hatch perimeter and cut the seal to length with scissors or a utility knife 5. Peel & Press: Starting at one corner, remove backing a few inches at a time and press the skirted base firmly onto the mounting surface ā do not remove all backing at once 6. Test the Closure: Close the compartment door or hatch to confirm the hollow dome compresses evenly and creates a consistent, gap-free seal around the full perimeter
