The temperature difference between the seal and the bonding surface should be as small as possible — avoid applying in direct sunlight on a very hot surface or in cold ambient conditions. Surface Preparation: Completely remove all old seal material, adhesive residue, dirt, wax, and moisture before applying. Wipe the bonding surface with isopropyl alcohol and allow to fully dry. Thorough surface prep is the single most important factor in long-term bond performance — do not apply to a damp or contaminated surface.

Measure & Cut: Measure the door or hatch perimeter and cut the seal to length with scissors or a utility knife 5. Peel & Press: Starting at one corner, remove the backing a few inches at a time and press the skirted base firmly onto the mounting surface — do not remove all backing at once 6.
