Apply between 60°F and 104°F (15°C–40°C) for best adhesive bond strength. The temperature difference between the seal and the bonding surface should be as small as possible. Surface Preparation: Completely remove all old seal material, adhesive residue, dirt, wax, and moisture before applying. Wipe the bonding surface with isopropyl alcohol and allow to fully dry. Thorough surface prep is always recommended for a long-lasting bond.

Check Temperature: Confirm ambient temp is between 60°F and 104°F (15°C–40°C) — match surface and seal temperature as closely as possible 2. Remove Old Seal: Completely remove all old weatherstrip material and adhesive residue from the mounting surface 3. Clean & Dry: Wipe the bonding surface with isopropyl alcohol and allow to fully dry 4. Measure & Cut: Measure the door or hatch perimeter and cut the seal to length with scissors or a utility knife 5. Peel & Press: Remove the skirted adhesive backing and press the ribbed seal firmly onto the mounting surface, working from one corner around the full perimeter 6. Test the Closure: Close the door or hatch to confirm the ribs compress evenly and the seal creates a consistent, gap-free closure
