7/16" H x 1/2" W EPDM rubber small hollow half-round seal with tabs — tabs increase sealing surface when compressed and form a drainage channel to guide liquids and debris away from the coach interior. 3M Peel-N-Stick adhesive. Miter-friendly corners. Ideal for smaller compartments, hatches, and windows. Commonly found on Jayco Octane, Jay Flight, Talon, and White Hawk Trailers and Winnebago Micro Minnie. Black, 15 ft pre-cut strip.
The Steele Rubber Products 90-3460-277 is a 7/16" H x 1/2" W Peel-N-Stick Small Hollow Half-Round seal with tabs — an EPDM rubber weatherstrip designed specifically for smaller RV compartments, hatches, and windows where a lower-profile seal is needed. The small hollow half-round profile compresses under door or hatch closure and springs back cleanly, providing a consistent perimeter seal that keeps moisture, bugs, wind, and debris out of the coach interior.
What sets this seal apart is the tab design. The tabs serve two distinct functions: they increase the sealing surface area when the profile compresses under closure force, and they form a channel that actively guides liquids and debris away from the coach rather than allowing them to pool or penetrate inward. This drainage channel function makes it especially well suited for outdoor kitchen compartment doors and access doors on trailers that are regularly exposed to rain and road debris.
The seal is also miter-friendly — corners can be cut and bonded with Loctite Super Bonder adhesive for a precise, one-piece gasket fit around square door frames. This profile is commonly found on Jayco Octane, Jay Flight, and Talon Trailer access entry doors, Jayco White Hawk outdoor kitchen compartment doors, and Winnebago Micro Minnie storage compartment doors, making it a trusted OEM-style replacement across a wide range of popular travel trailer models.
Tabs form a channel that guides liquids and debris away from the coach interior — active drainage protection, not just passive sealing
When the half-round compresses under door closure, the tabs spread to widen the sealing footprint — more contact area for a tighter, more complete seal
Corners can be mitered and bonded with Loctite Super Bonder for a precise, seamless one-piece gasket fit around square compartment door frames
Highly weather-resistant 3M adhesive backing — easy peel-and-press installation with no tools or surface clamps required
Apply between 60°F and 104°F (15°C–40°C) for best adhesive bond strength. The temperature difference between the seal and the bonding surface should be as small as possible — avoid applying in direct sunlight on a hot surface or in cold ambient conditions. Surface Preparation: Completely remove all old seal material and adhesive residue from the mounting surface. Wipe thoroughly with isopropyl alcohol or a general-purpose adhesive cleaner and allow to fully dry. The surface must be completely clean and dry before applying — any residue or moisture will significantly reduce adhesion. Allow 72 hours for the adhesive to fully cure after application.

What You Need: No tools required for adhesive application. Recommended supplies: isopropyl alcohol or adhesive cleaner, clean cloth, tape measure, scissors or utility knife. Optional: Loctite Super Bonder for corner mitering. Basic Installation Steps: 1. Check Temperature: Confirm ambient and surface temp is between 60°F and 104°F (15°C–40°C) and minimize temperature difference between seal and surface 2. Remove Old Seal: Completely remove all old weatherstrip material and adhesive residue from the mounting surface 3. Clean & Dry: Wipe the bonding surface with isopropyl alcohol or adhesive cleaner; allow to fully dry — do not apply to a wet surface 4. Measure & Cut: Measure the door, hatch, or window perimeter and cut the seal to length with scissors or a utility knife 5. Miter Corners (Optional): For square frames, miter-cut corners at 45° and bond with Loctite Super Bonder for a seamless one-piece gasket fit 6. Peel & Press: Starting at one corner, remove backing a few inches at a time and press the tabs firmly onto the mounting surface — do not remove all backing at once 7. Test & Cure: Close the compartment door or hatch to confirm tabs compress and seal evenly; allow 72 hours for full adhesive cure before heavy use
